90% of Pokémon tweets are just: (insert TCG Player screenshot) “how is this card $[market price]??? it should be worth [5x market price]!!!”

In light of this record sale of the 1/1 Miss Fortune Houston Regional Champion in English I want to share the FIRST tournament prize card ever from Riftbound. The Miss Fortune champion prize card from Guangzhou in a PSA 10 One thing that Riftbound does differently in chinese, is that they stamp the card with your placement and the regional city Riftbound just got started and Im so happy to own the best looking card printed so far 🙌🏼 #riftbound

I must be the minority but Im not upset about the pull rate for Baron. The demand for this card still makes it the most valuable card of the set. Comparable to Red Manga Luffy as not every set will have “ultimate rare” rarity Must have card if you’re collecting Riftbound #riftbound

let's goooo, metagross in clutch! this is the list I was using, a few quick personal notes: - Kyurem, Metagross, Annihilape cover most of the attacking options for Seek Inspiration, I run 2 of Kyurem & Metagross each to avoid prizing them and deck-check how many copies I have asap so I can possibly Ciphermaniac's Coding them if I don't have Academy at Night. Annihilape hits anything over 300 HP and is a great late-game closer but don't hesitate to discard him early to grab back later with Stretcher/Lana's Aid - This deck doesn't necessarily want to go first (my G-regulation build was hyper-aggro Squawkabilly + Carmine which discarded half my deck on T1 to set up a T2 Slowking) but at the same time, the potential of a turn 2 board wipe if they can't PokePad a Shaymin/have prized their 1 copy is so strong that you'll always chance it. Managed to board wipe and win my Round 1 in 2 turns because they won the coin flip and made me go first; managed to clutch out a win-and-in round vs Festival Lead because I went first and they couldn't get their Rabsca or Shaymin out fast enough. - Optimal early game setup is getting 2 Slowpokes on the bench, both with energy on turn 1. If Mega Kang is in the lead the early draw power (+2 on T1, +2 on T2 before retreat) really helps. Other case is Slowpoke > Telepathic Energy to call 2 of Slowpoke/Latias ex/Smoochum > bring up Smoochum to Delightful Kiss and attach 2 Psychic Energy to the other Slowpoke - Didn't actually get to use Mega Slowbro much but it's there for the Dragapult matchup. You can Telepathic Energy to call out Lillie's Clefairy and Wondrous Patch to accelerate energy, then hit it for 360 and then also send 12 damage counters to whatever hits it... then you also have Lillie's Clefairy in the back to hit it again later. - A lot of different Supporters that basically help you do different stuff. Hilda/Colress help you find your Special Energies + either attackers/Slowking or Stadium. Early builds ran 2x Meowth but I ended up stuck leading with it in the Active way too often, 1x Meowth feels right but don't pop it too early if you don't need to (because you might want a late-game Meowth for Boss). - Xerosic/Banette combo actually makes sense in this deck and is much easier to pull off since Slowking can use Cursed Words via Seek Inspiration. Never got to use this combo but it's a break-glass-in-case-of-emergency type of thing if your opponent doesn't have a lot of draw options on the board. Might write up more in a longer post later ;) Good luck fellow Slowking enthusiast!

Finished 61st out of 1800 players at the biggest Pokémon TCG competition of the year in Hong Kong. No Worlds invite (needed Top 4) but still super proud of my tournament run. Still think Slowking has all the answers to any deck in the format. We’ll get ‘em next time! 💪🏻

playing in an 1800-person Pokémon TCG tournament tomorrow with my qualifications for the World Championships on the line should I just focus on playing and get that Worlds invite (need to get Top 4 to secure it), or should I have fun and vlog it?

@DeanZ0911 Looks like a really fun deck! I have a feeling that XP is going to be a very interesting mechanic in the Set 3 meta, especially since there's no XP disruption yet. I can imagine a few high mana XP reset spells coming in future sets.

The first version of the Sett build was based on a rough prediction of the new meta. After the rule changes, it included Soraka to protect all of your units. Combined with the new cards Repulse and Sacrifice, the deck gained strong defense and card draw. 🛡️ The second version was built around the prediction that many players would use Master Yi. It adopted the XP system, which changed the matchup from being difficult against Master Yi in the previous version to being favored against Master Yi. ⚔️ If this guy can achieve stable results in the next four Regional events, I’ll consider asking him to write a high-quality guide. 👀

Updated Top 8 lists from the city tournaments over the past two days 🏆 The meta is clearly moving past the early Lillia aggro phase and evolving into a more midrange-heavy environment ⚔️ Players are now fighting through slower, more interactive games with more matchup-specific decisions. My friend won two championships in a row with Sett 🐺🔥 But the two builds are completely different. I’ll post both lists later and break down the key differences, as well as his thought process behind each version 🧠📋

Pro-tip for my fellow @playriftbound competitors: always have a heavy breakfast in the morning before your RQ Competition days are long and arduous, you most likely will not have time for a meal in between games and need fuel until nightfall Day 2 ready, let's win some boxes 😎

ayyyy appreciate you :) been playing Slowking for like 3 months now, think it's a very strong anti-Dragapult deck with its Mega Slowbro + Lillie's Clefairy mode gets a lot of hate for being a "meme deck" but if their excuse for losing is "if only I had a Shaymin" then they're underestimating the power of Slowking

@SubvertPlaysTCG The decklist you provided is pretty cracked man. I changed a few things from my old deck list and have been testing yours on live, its so much more efficient and prone to bricking. Gonna try it out in real life, thanks :)

My goodness guys. I'm not THAT bad at Pokémon, give me some credit. I know how to set up my board before taking KOs, I just don't like getting Stamped or Red Card-ed. I can't be the only one who feels that way, right?

One thing that I don’t like about Pokémon TCG after picking up Riftbound is the lack of counterplay during your opponent’s turn. I hate getting Unfair Stamp-ed and instinctively wish I could just Defy it!

We've got the whole decade to knock off the Spurs haha I want as many titles as possible, I don't mind if this year's an easier path But either way as long as JDub is back healthy, we're Gucci The Thunder have a bigger chance of sweeping the Spurs than the Spurs have at winning a series against the Thunder Twitter will be insufferable but fuck it if that's the price of winning SO BE IT

No probs! Takes a little while to get used to and obvs feel free to tweak to your playstyle/preferences. I was running 2x Powerglass previously, think the late change to Boomerang Energy was a good change — I only need it if I'm planning to attack with Kyurem and it's searchable via Hilda/Colress/Ciphermaniac if necessary. You can take out the Banette/Mega Slowbro spots pretty easily, never ended up using Lana's Aid either (although I like having her there knowing I can Meowth > grab Slowpokes, Slowkings, attackers & energy out of the discard) Other attackers I'd consider: - Spectrier with Phantasmal Barrage (discard all, place 12 damage counters on Shaymin) - Zeraora with Thunder Raid (discard all, deal 210 damage to a benched Pokemon ex) - Armarouge with Crimson Blaster (180 to opponent's benched Pokemon) - Zoroark with Foul Play (copies an opponent's attack, with Lillie's Clefairy you can copy an opposing Phantom Dive for 400 damage) - Haxorus with Axe Blast (insta-KOs any Basic Pokemon)

I feel like there's quite a lot of Dragapult variants running around though. Dragapult/Blaziken is the most "consistent" Dragapult/Dusknoir is a bit more aggro Dragapult/Dudunsparce is "new" Dragapult/Mega Greninja has seen play Every deck over here in Asia has a Lillie's Clefairy in it these days.
