Riftbound had it's first 6 figure sale for one single card this Tuesday when I closed out a 100k cash deal on @ShawnDTCG 1/1 MF from the Houston RQ 💰💰💰 @RiftboundReport #Riftbound #HoustonRQ

let's goooo, metagross in clutch! this is the list I was using, a few quick personal notes: - Kyurem, Metagross, Annihilape cover most of the attacking options for Seek Inspiration, I run 2 of Kyurem & Metagross each to avoid prizing them and deck-check how many copies I have asap so I can possibly Ciphermaniac's Coding them if I don't have Academy at Night. Annihilape hits anything over 300 HP and is a great late-game closer but don't hesitate to discard him early to grab back later with Stretcher/Lana's Aid - This deck doesn't necessarily want to go first (my G-regulation build was hyper-aggro Squawkabilly + Carmine which discarded half my deck on T1 to set up a T2 Slowking) but at the same time, the potential of a turn 2 board wipe if they can't PokePad a Shaymin/have prized their 1 copy is so strong that you'll always chance it. Managed to board wipe and win my Round 1 in 2 turns because they won the coin flip and made me go first; managed to clutch out a win-and-in round vs Festival Lead because I went first and they couldn't get their Rabsca or Shaymin out fast enough. - Optimal early game setup is getting 2 Slowpokes on the bench, both with energy on turn 1. If Mega Kang is in the lead the early draw power (+2 on T1, +2 on T2 before retreat) really helps. Other case is Slowpoke > Telepathic Energy to call 2 of Slowpoke/Latias ex/Smoochum > bring up Smoochum to Delightful Kiss and attach 2 Psychic Energy to the other Slowpoke - Didn't actually get to use Mega Slowbro much but it's there for the Dragapult matchup. You can Telepathic Energy to call out Lillie's Clefairy and Wondrous Patch to accelerate energy, then hit it for 360 and then also send 12 damage counters to whatever hits it... then you also have Lillie's Clefairy in the back to hit it again later. - A lot of different Supporters that basically help you do different stuff. Hilda/Colress help you find your Special Energies + either attackers/Slowking or Stadium. Early builds ran 2x Meowth but I ended up stuck leading with it in the Active way too often, 1x Meowth feels right but don't pop it too early if you don't need to (because you might want a late-game Meowth for Boss). - Xerosic/Banette combo actually makes sense in this deck and is much easier to pull off since Slowking can use Cursed Words via Seek Inspiration. Never got to use this combo but it's a break-glass-in-case-of-emergency type of thing if your opponent doesn't have a lot of draw options on the board. Might write up more in a longer post later ;) Good luck fellow Slowking enthusiast!

playing in an 1800-person Pokémon TCG tournament tomorrow with my qualifications for the World Championships on the line should I just focus on playing and get that Worlds invite (need to get Top 4 to secure it), or should I have fun and vlog it?

Updated Top 8 lists from the city tournaments over the past two days 🏆 The meta is clearly moving past the early Lillia aggro phase and evolving into a more midrange-heavy environment ⚔️ Players are now fighting through slower, more interactive games with more matchup-specific decisions. My friend won two championships in a row with Sett 🐺🔥 But the two builds are completely different. I’ll post both lists later and break down the key differences, as well as his thought process behind each version 🧠📋

a key element of fascism is making it appear that the entire world is organized against your group when in fact you are in the most advantageous and powerful position in society. the los angeles lakers are a textbook example of this phenomenon.

Asked Jaylen Brown how he looks at failure and success, and whether anything short of a title feels like a failure: “It's hard to reflect on it just right now, because it's so fresh from the moment. But, obviously this organization is used to playing later into the season. I think this is my first time having a first round exit. But this season, what the expectations were and how we came out and we rose to meet that level of uncertainty with this group. There's nothing more I could ask for. I had a great time with my teammates. We played hard. Feel like we left it all out there. Tonight, we came up short.”

There is now an 83% chance that the Spurs and Thunder meet in the Western Conference Finals, via Kalshi. Is this disrespectful to the Lakers and Wolves?
