🔎 SUI/USD Perpetuals Incident Recap On June 27th, 2025, a misconfigured update was deployed to the SUI/USD perpetuals pair on Sudo Finance. The Sudo team promptly identified the issue and suspended trading on the affected market. Unfortunately, due to an incorrectly set funding rate, a small number of users were able to profit from the misconfiguration. As the change was not easily reversible, the team made the decision to proactively mitigate further risk by force-closing all open SUI/USD perpetual positions. On June 28th, all existing positions were closed, and the SUI/USD pair was temporarily removed from the platform. To ensure the integrity of the protocol and protect liquidity providers, Sudo has already covered the incurred losses by depositing the affected assets from the team’s treasury. For users negatively impacted by this event, we invite you to contact us via Discord. We are committed to reimbursing any unexpected losses or fees caused by this incident. For users who unintentionally profited from the misconfiguration, we kindly request your cooperation in returning the affected assets. If you come forward, the Sudo team will offer a meaningful reward in recognition of your integrity. As of June 29th, 2025, the SUI/USD perpetuals pair has been reinstated with the correct configuration and is fully operational. We sincerely appreciate the community’s patience and understanding as we continue to uphold the reliability and transparency of the Sudo platform. 🚨 PSA During a recent contract configuration update, an error occurred in the funding fee settings due to an inadvertent update by our engineering team. This misconfiguration affected funding fee calculations for existing SUI/USD positions. Upon investigation, we identified that a small number of users profited from this issue, prompting us to temporarily pause trading for SUI/USD as a precautionary measure. We have now re-enabled position closing for SUI/USD. However, due to the misconfiguration, we will be sunsetting this trading pair. We strongly encourage all users to close any open SUI/USD positions at their earliest convenience. If you wish to open new positions, please consider trading on ZO as an alternative. - This issue is isolated to SUI/USD Perpetuals—no other trading pairs are affected. - The incident was caused by human error, not a security vulnerability in our contract. - We are conducting a thorough review of our internal processes to prevent similar occurrences in the future. If your position was incorrectly liquidated during this incident, please contact our support team. We will assist in resolving any losses incurred.
