Proud trade unionist. Despiser of corruption. If the Tories/Reform had a soul they’d sell it.

1966 Streets full of smartly-dressed people shopping in a vibrant and truly alive atmosphere. 2026 Cheap soulless chains and endless superficial services - catering for the scruffy, ugly, overweight masses. No civic pride, no sartorial elegance, no choice. Just disgusting shit.

@florestaqueen @BladeoftheS Exactly. Causing unemployment. Supermarkets with self scan tills and scan as you shop facilities reduce staff levels by not replacing staff when they leave.

Zohran Mamdani is planning to implement a 10% discount for using Self Service checkouts in the Supermarkets. We need that everywhere.

@PoliticsJOE_UK Really hope this spiteful action by Reform boosts the funds of the Grumpy Cook in the same way that RNLI donations increase with every attack on them.

@PoliticsJOE_UK The Grumpy Cook is a fabulous place. Delicious, reasonably priced dishes and always supporting various charities. If Andy Woolley hadn’t made this spiteful decision to stop kids free food vouchers there wouldn’t have been any need for anyone else to step in to help

The Reform UK leader of East Sussex County Council Andy Woolley has threatened to call the police on the owner of the Grumpy Cook café in Hastings. Woolley claims to have been the victim of abuse off the back of criticisms from the café owner and the local Labour MP, after the council decided to scrap free meal vouchers for children during the school holidays. Barry Ashley, who owns the café, continued to feed vulnerable children in Hastings after the council abolished the scheme.

Farage said he "went under the knife" the day before Ann Widdecombe's murder. Whatever gave him that idea?

@dave43law Not just sick, twisted, evil and rotten but stupid too. Why would the police be interested in someone giving away food. I volunteer at a foodbank every Wednesday, should we expect a police raid next week.

@HfitzHazel @donmcgowan They get the money from Central government because those kids who are entitled to free school meals clearly don’t get these when the schools are shut for the summer holidays

@Matthew82069336 Sainsbury’s only bought Argos because they had a superior distribution system and Sainsbury’s wanted the inside information on how to improve theirs.

@IanFL @Lynbodegas Yes. That’s why our insurance premiums are higher. The riskiest drivers are the very young and the elderly. I’m one of the latter before you say that’s discriminatory comment.

So,!hearing Mr Burnham wants over 70’s to retake driving tests every 3 years!! Discrimination I call it. If this is the case, everyone should re-take a test every 3 years!!

@Lynbodegas I’m over 70 and quite happy to have a regular driving test. Some people continue driving long after they should have given up. If it’s decided I’m one of them then I’ll dig out my bus pass.

Reform UK and Nigel Farage are now so knee deep in scandal and investigations, their attempts to deflect and divert are failing. They’re running out of faux outrage.
