If JD Vance has real evidence of fraud, by all means, prosecute every last one of the fraudsters. Instead, he’s withholding $1.3 billion in Medi-Cal funding from California.    Prosecuting fraud and withholding care from vulnerable people are not the same thing, and one doesn’t require the other.    Cutting off this funding doesn’t save money, it shifts costs onto the most vulnerable people and the institutions that serve them.    The hypocrisy here is staggering. If this Administration was serious about fighting fraud, Donald Trump wouldn’t have pardoned a man who stole $1.3 billion from Medicare and Medicaid — the exact same amount now being withheld from California. The FBI called it the largest criminal health care fraud case ever brought against individuals, and Trump let him walk free.    This Administration isn't committed to fighting fraud. It’s committed to picking a fight with California, and our most vulnerable residents are the ones who will pay for it.  nbcnews.com/politics/white…
