I've finally taken my first steps into the Rocky Ridges region and I'm already loving it! The new pokemon the volcanic ash, the deep earth colors! Already such a vibe 🎭👑 ʏᴏᴜᴛᴜʙᴇ.ᴄᴏᴍ/@ꜱᴜɢᴀʀʙᴇᴀʀᴠᴛ

It really depends on how bad it is AND if my opinions on it evolve with time 🤔 like when the Attack on Titan ending first dropped I hated it and then we got the updated version and I hated it even more but by the time the anime reached the ending I kinda mellowed out on it a lot It’s not an ending that I feel good about but I have a better appreciation for Isayama’s vision now than I did with my initial knee-jerk reaction. Another example would be the MHA ending left me kinda sour, I was never one of the people on the put the fries in the bag Deku agenda but I wasn’t totally fulfilled but I think Horikoshi’s epilogue chapters did a real service to that sorta open these characters lives continue type of ending even the smaller one about Eri writing music felt nice to read I don’t think every ending has that potential to grow with time though and especially for series that I was very attached to when it was ongoing like Oshi no Ko it undoubtedly soured my overall viewing experience like to the point where even though I liked most of the arcs surrounding the 15 Year Lie I can’t fully enjoy it in the anime cause every time I catch myself smiling or having fun I’m immediately hit with “this doesn’t last” and it snaps me right out of it. There’s always a chance things can feel differently once it’s animated and voice acted but I don’t think I’ll ever look at the series the same way as I did when it was in it’s prime.

The end of Chainsaw Man made me think about something... When a manga you like ends in a way you hate or are disappointed with, does it sour the whole thing for you, Or do you still like it but just think the ending is bad?

Personally I think May doesn’t miss, I’ll always be partial to the R/S ver. cause that’s where I come from and I’ll admit losing the bandana is tough for me but the general silhouette still reads as May imo so ORAS is good. Passing grade. R/S Brendan is nostalgic but isn’t an easily readible design leading to the hair vs hat debates of old, I think Emerald Brendan is just a straight improvement + the layered clothes style is very true to the era Emerald released in. Sadly I do think ORAS Brendan is a complete flop, while this type of fitted athletic wear was in style in the 2010’s we retain very little from his original two silhouettes: no distinguishable collar, the hat is flaccid again but it’s lost its edge with fewer spikes and the ones that are there are rounded, I also just think the shoes look goofy. Say what you want about May’s designs but in comparison rather than looking like a Pokemon Trainer outfit Brendan’s redesign looks like one of those shitty fitted gym shirts with an anime outfit printed on top that Temu would tell you is “cosplay” like a generic gym fit trying to copy Brendan’s color palette Manga designs below aren’t related I just think they’re neat~
