We’re welcoming Dr. Avimanyu Bandyopadhyay as CTO at AxonDAO. Dr. Avi @iAvimanyu is a computer scientist and decentralized-infrastructure engineer with a PhD in Systems Analysis and Design, focused on decentralized science. He brings over a decade of experience in high-performance computing and scientific systems architecture, and is the author of Hands-on GPU Computing with Python. He originally created @DeSci_OS, an operating-system-level foundation for decentralized scientific computing, built to make GPU compute reliable for real scientific workloads. That work aligned closely with AxonDAO’s direction and now evolves into AxonOS. At AxonDAO, Dr. Avi will focus on systems-level thinking to ensure decentralized GPU infrastructure translates into dependable platforms that support real scientific output. “Shared goals matter more than ownership. A lot of scientific progress looks like “new ideas.” Behind the scenes, it often comes down to something quieter: the ability to run large amounts of computation without waiting forever. That’s where GPUs come in.

What’s next is scale and access. AxonDAO is expanding toward a decentralized research campus that combines GPU infrastructure with wet labs, prototyping spaces, and collaboration environments, making advanced scientific tools available to far more researchers than traditional institutions ever could.

AxonDAO Year in Review This past year asked for clarity, especially for teams trying to build things that last. We’ve spent the last few days heads-down on internal work and alignment. Before moving forward, we wanted to pause briefly and reflect on what this year shaped, and what it quietly set in motion.

By the end of the year, one thing became clearer. AxonDAO isn’t here to chase short-term signals or surface-level metrics. We’re here to build science infrastructure that can last, with people at the center of it.

As we move into the new year, we want to thank everyone who followed the work, asked hard questions, and stayed engaged as things took shape. As part of strengthening the foundation going forward, we’ll be rolling out a new AXGT token contract. We’ll share clear details on how this works next. Stay tuned
