December 25, 2023. A company dropped a rejection email in my inbox at exactly 8:00AM. I was in Washington DC, having Christmas breakfast with my aunt’s family when it arrived. I laughed so hard they couldn’t believe my reaction. Had a better offer already, but WTH on Christmas?

I would love to debate the full contents of this partnership and the following issues with the Minister.
1. Coventry is a post-1992 modern university. It is not Russell Group. In a country where we value foreign degrees, I think that positioning Coventry as the face of “world-class UK education” risks overpromising.
2. The government is selling the brand of a UK degree. They are not selling the rights that come with studying in the UK. Those are two different products, and Nigerian families deserve to know which one they are buying.

Unrelated. I may be wrong, but I did not see the Minister of Foreign Affairs in any of the pictures from the President’s UK trip, hope he is doing well though. I only saw the Honorable Minister of State.
Quite frankly, you’d expect him to be part of the delegation since this is literally his space and this is a bit surprising to see other Governors, who don’t really have a direct role in the delegation while the Minister is missing.
