Dr Fred Matiang'i 8 years ago. Jamaa could even go to dormitories to check the conditions of the places.
Wengi mlikua mnasema ni PR but this is how such negligence is corrected.
This man can save our country. Ebola Utumishi Girls Academy.
Below is a message going around on WhatsApp. I received it this morning and to be honest I did not take it seriously with the amount of misinformation going around, until this evening I was told about it and this is the first victim who is known to a family member and she narrated her ordeal.
People be careful out there, especially ladies.

Just to inform everyone .
Pls avoid 6th Parklands Road in the evenings.
This happened to my very close friend of mine .. on Tuesday 26th evening around 7.30pm.
Her driver from Limuru Road took the 6th parklands (road near the slums).. Nails had been spread out on that road .. luckily the driver kept on driving even though two of the tyres were completely damaged as i understand.
They saw a few man holding a jack and trying to pull them over but the driver kept driving and got into Shiv mandir where the guard opened and the caretaker there told them this is on a regular basis.
Be very very careful and avoid taking any roads which don’t have street lights in the evening. They all are shaken up by this incident.
Just two days after Supreme Court upheld William Ruto and Rigathi Gachagua’s win…
Gachagua’s office demanded Sh1.59 BILLION for cars, fuel, wife’s activities, hospitality & household items.
The same “Truthful Man” who cried at inauguration that they inherited empty coffers and Kenya had no money. Is this one of the biggest hypocrisies in Kenyan politics?
This is commendable of Nyandi J., but the Court of Appeal (bench Kimaru JA, Munyao JA and Okoth JA) threw spanners into the works by allowing US-Kenya cooperation, which encompasses, inter alia, the ongoing Ebola conversation. By the time hearing of that application comes up in October, it will be fait acompli
@OkiyaOmtatah
The quickest way to become stupid right now in Kenya is to be appointed into Ruto’s government.
Some people we held in high regard became so stupid the moment they entered government, it’s like they had a Sudi brain transplant overnight!
Yesterday, while all concentration was diverted to the Utumishi Girls tragedy, MPs were in Parliament, going on with the finance Bill proceedings.
Please overstand that, everything else apart from #RejectFinanceBill is a DISTRACTION

We are living in strange times. France is exporting Nucleur technology to Kenya, America is exporting their Ebola patents in Kenya and Bill Gates is running a massive bio lab in Kenya. Is this the freedom that our forefathers fought for ?
The debt question Kenyans must ask is simple: Why does the debt keep growing every year despite billions already being paid? How do we borrow, repay, borrow again, and still sink deeper into debt?
This is why the conversation on odious debt can no longer be avoided.
One dangerous issue that must be addressed is the amendment to the Public Finance Management Act, which allowed the National Treasury to borrow outside the Consolidated Fund framework. Public borrowing must remain transparent, accountable, and subject to full constitutional oversight.
Kenyans deserve to know:
Who borrowed?
How much?
For what purpose?
Who benefited?
And why are ordinary citizens carrying the burden while public services continue to collapse?
A country cannot survive permanently on secrecy, debt, and taxation without accountability. #odiousdebt#DeniBandia
It won’t be surprising to find out that the Utumishi Girls fire and the tragic death of those girls was part of a plan to shift conversation from the Ebola Importation Centers and disastrous 2026 Finance Bill.
The guy even had in his pocket, disaster preparedness management bill that he was just waiting to sign into law.
If that @nytimes journalist who broke the news about Kenya importing Ebola from DRC did Ruto bad.
If he lived in Kenya, he would have been abducted, taken to police custody where we would have been told he killed himself while in police cells.
Anyway, for a President who believes that Kenyans will die from poverty anyway, amesema it is better to die with kshs 1.7 billion for Ebola than to die from poverty, because as he says, we will die anyway!
Electing Ruto as President was a big mistake.

On Ebola
A tiny error and ebola spreads across the republic. Deaths of citizens. Travel advisories. No visas for citizens. Tourists cancel. Layoffs. Economy takes a hit. Ebola spreads to schools. Schools must close. Chaos. Months. Elections cancelled. Orphans. Widows. Ujinga! ⚖️
Willingly accepting to import Ebola into your country has got to be most treasonous act ever done to a people by their leader in any country. This greed is too much.
Mary Lilian Waithera Gathenya was a 46-year-old junior relationship officer at the National Hospital Insurance Fund (NHIF) in Nairobi, known among colleagues for her integrity, discipline, and 15 years of clean service.
On Monday, February 13, 2023, at around 5:13 PM, she was shot and killed in broad daylight on Kaunda Street in Nairobi’s CBD while walking with her colleague Damaris Achieng after leaving work. Lilian suddenly clutched her chest, collapsed on the pavement, and began bleeding from her nose and mouth. No gunshot was heard. She was rushed to Nairobi Hospital but was pronounced dead.
The autopsy by Chief Government Pathologist Dr. Johansen Oduor revealed she was killed by a single 9mm bullet that entered near her left collarbone and lodged in her left lung. The entry wound was small and the shot came from an elevated angle, consistent with a suppressed firearm fired from a high-rise building. Police investigated nearby buildings, including Hamilton House, reviewed CCTV, and arrested then released a licensed firearm holder after ballistics didn’t match. No shooter was ever identified.
Her family, including husband Paul Njine Mbogo and their two sons, insisted she had no known enemies or threats. NHIF denied any connection to corruption. Many Kenyans believe she was targeted for refusing to participate in or for exposing irregularities at the Fund. Over three years later, as of 2026, no one has been arrested. Lilian Waithera was buried in Kamugunda, Mwea. Her killing remains unsolved…
Mr Speaker Sir 🙋♀️,
Since State House is a "protected area", I propose that the US-imported Ebola patients be quarantined there so they can also be prayed for by our national healer, the one who once turned dirty water into Dasani.
That way, if anything goes wrong, the rest of the country will remain safe because the area is heavily protected.
As many as are of that opinion say “Aye.”
