As I just said on @PowerLunch: there is a non 0% chance that some parts of California face gasoline shortages soon. The last few years CA has increasingly relied on imported oil and refined fuels -- much of it from the middle east -- and the shipping problems around Hormuz mean if there is slowdown in ships coming into CA ports, shortages are possible. Not saying it WILL happen - state based buyers should be able to out bid others for the gas (hello, higher prices!) - but I think real chance some stations just can't get gas. Two ships currently in port in California came from Algeria and Iraq respectively. Not many ships behind them. Next few weeks going to be ... interesting.
