Perhaps. But my US intelligence sources and some high-level sources in the Middle East still aren't sure who is or will ultimately 'rule' Iran. Spoke with someone this morning in the region who says it is all still unclear.
I may not use the term 'civil war' (yet) but there are very high level fights for power inside Iran right now. And some area using missiles, drones and, yes, #oil, as a cudgel to force Trumps hand.

Right now the military guys with guns are running most things.

My high-level sources in the Gulf region are still mostly unclear how this ultimately plays out because it's also unclear who ultimately will lead the nation.

As I've been reporting for over a month ... be mindful of who may (or may not) be calling the shots in Iran. And its possible that even with a "peace deal" there will be some rogue military men in Iran who pop their heads up with random attacks. Many of my sources are still not clear who is "running" the country.

Got a statement with some new numbers from @Energy Department
“Thanks to the U.S. military and President Trump, oil is moving through the Strait of Hormuz. Yesterday, 8.5 million barrels of oil transited through the Strait, consistent with the recent average. This puts the Arabian Gulf Region flows at about 15 million barrels per day. The U.S. military will ensure oil flows continue, with or without the Iranians, to keep markets well supplied.”

If its 'just' 20% on the price of oil, it's a nearly $15/barrel 'toll'

I would not be surprised if Iran - or parts of Iran - saw major internal dissent soon.
Fight for control and future of the nation is ongoing. Ultra hardliners are going to do whatever they can to hold on to power.
Let's hope the innocent people of Iran are not caught in the middle any more than they already have.

The Strait of Hormuz is open to all vessels seeking to lawfully transit the international waterway. U.S. forces are positioned and prepared to ensure that freedom of navigation remains available despite unwarranted Iranian aggression, harassment, threats, and arbitrary declarations. Iran does not control the strait. Traffic is flowing.

Irans power vacuum (which I’ve reported for a long time) needs to be filled - quick - with those willing to work with the west.
It won’t be PRO western.. that’s clear … but whomever wants to lead the country needs to assert he 1) can control his army and 2) is willing to work with other nations.
Having rogue Iranian military bosses continuously firing on ships is not going to have a good end for anyone.
Hopefully the Iranian people can play a big role after decades of being oppressed by a cruel regime

At 7:15 p.m. ET today, U.S. Central Command forces began launching the third round of strikes this week against Iran after Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps forces blatantly attacked M/V GFS Galaxy, a Cyprus-flagged container ship transiting the Strait of Hormuz. A civilian crew member is missing and the vessel is unable to continue the journey due to an onboard fire and significant engineroom damage. Iran was provided yet another opportunity to demonstrate adherence to the Memorandum of Understanding after being held accountable for earlier attacks on commercial vessels but has again failed. In response, the United States is imposing a heavy cost by continuing to degrade Iran’s ability to attack civilian mariners and commercial ships freely transiting the strait. The strikes are being carried out at the direction of the Commander in Chief.
