@officialellymay None of the IDs you listed are approved in the SAVE Act except those REAL IDs that meet the requirements, not ALL REAL IDS, just those that meet the citizenship proof requirements. Your State DL doesn't qualify either. Read the Bill. Know what you're supporting.

Here's a short and sweet list of the most common things you typically need a **state ID** or **driver's license** (especially a REAL ID-compliant one as of 2025+) for in the US: - **Driving** a vehicle (driver's license only) - **Boarding domestic flights** (REAL ID required at airports since 2025) - **Buying alcohol**, tobacco, or other age-restricted items - **Entering certain federal buildings**, military bases, or nuclear facilities - **Proving identity/age** at bars, clubs, or events - **Picking up prescriptions** or controlled medications at pharmacies - **Opening a bank account** or certain financial transactions - **Employment verification** (often as a List B document for I-9 form) - **Voting** in some states (as proof of ID when required) - **Renting a car**, hotel room, or apartment (landlords often ask) - **Police stops** or official interactions (to identify yourself) The list can go on. It's basically the go-to photo ID for everyday adult life when a passport isn't handy. And just so we’re clear most Americans don’t have a passport because they have a state ID/drivers license. If you don't drive, a state ID covers most of the same uses except driving!

@officialellymay The SAVE Act doesn't include the common IDs you listed though, but a select few. The REAL ID you can use MUST include your citizenship status ON it (only CA, FL, TX, NY do) . You cannot use a marriage license as supplement proof along with your birth certificate in SAVE Act
