Our first headline show in London. We had no idea if anyone would know the songs. We had no idea how many people would show up. We had no idea what we were walking into. What we got was one of the craziest shows we'd had up to that point — and the start of something between Sum 41 and England that lasted our entire career.

We were honored to receive the "Live Performance of the Year" award at the @Canadian_Live last week. It was also great to present our dear friend @KevinLyman with the "Global Impact in Live Music" award. There's no one more deserving. Thank you for your continued support, and congratulations to all winners.

Back in 2019, we played a show at The Gutter Bar as part of @KerrangMagazine’s
K! Pit series. It was fun to be back in a smaller, dive bar venue again. This show was a blast.

"War" is one of the most personal songs I've ever written. This performance was recorded for Rolling Stone at Converse's Rubber Tracks Studio in Brooklyn — 2016, right in the middle of one of the most intense chapters of my life. This performance was the beginning of us building ourselves back up as a new band from nothing

This ‘63 @gibsonguitar SG Jr. is a huge piece of Sum 41 history. From Chuck to Heaven :x: Hell, this guitar has been integral to our sound. Check out the full video on our YouTube.

"Motivation" was a song I wrote long before Half Hour Of Power even came out. But even though the music came years before All Killer, I didn't write the lyrics until the day I sang it. Spent a couple of hours in the studio lounge that afternoon hammering them out.
I was always a procrastinator with lyrics. But this one was really down to the wire.

Did you know the story behind our name? It’s amazing that the @VansWarpedTour was one of our biggest inspirations for starting Sum 41, and then we went on to play it so many times we’ve lost count. Now that’s a dream come true! 🖤

Screaming Bloody Murder turns 15 this year. For better and for worse, this was a crazy time in our lives. A big chunk of it was written in a rented house in the Hollywood Hills — working and partying through the whole process. We ended up touring it for three and a half years, longer than any album we'd ever done before or after. At the start of that cycle we were on fire. By the end, we'd become a dumpster fire. Even with all the turmoil, it's still one of our favorites.
If you want to go deeper on this era, we made a documentary about the making of this album called Don't Try This At Home. It's on YouTube

Had a great time getting back on stage and playing with @ElectricCallboy at the Forum on Tuesday night. Thanks for having me! 👏🏻

Fat lip — 25 years!
The song that changed our lives forever. Some songs come quick and easy and others are struggle. This one was the latter. I worked on this song for a good year or more before I even mentioned it or showed it to anyone in the band.
I actually felt kind of embarrassed by it for a long time. But in all honesty it wasn’t really working for a long time either. It took a lot of work and maneuvering to fit all the parts together and make it feel natural and not 5 different songs cut and pasted together.
It all finally came together when Dave, Stevo and I wrote the rap verse lyrics together. That’s when we knew we had something that represented. It said everything about who we were and where we came from.
The video of course was a blast. A video that had no real treatment written. It was basically a 2 day documentary where everything that happens in it happened on the spot.
I’ll always be grateful for this song and all the great things that came from it.
An early example of why you should always
Stay Persistent.
