Not a Percolator fork. Not a Hyperliquid wrapper. Not a clone with a new skin. Sumi is a different perps engine for a different market shape: new Solana tokens, fixed windows, and bounded risk. Built from the bottom up.

Anyone noticed we are almost at a hundred stars on our repo? Been out and about doing what matters - onboarding developers, supporting them to build the best perps trading experience.

@badbeatnuts1 Fair read. The public GitHub repo shows the extent of what we’re keeping open-source. The next layer is oracle routing, liquidations/keepers, position management, and market-launch tooling for teams building fixed-window perps markets on top.

. $sumi is actually a real product but missing some valuable pieces the Rust/Anchor code is real and architecturally coherent. The repo has proper module separation (risk_slab, funding_tape, insurance_balance, margin_window, settlement_trace), a published IDL, deterministic lifecycle tests, a working TypeScript SDK, and the five-instruction lifecycle (init → open → mark_funding → route_cover → seal) actually executed end-to-end on mainnet. That's a genuinely-built primitive. But it's a scaffold, not a perps engine. No oracle integration, no order book, no liquidation engine, no position management visible — only the window-lifecycle skeleton. Real plumbing exists; the load-bearing trading logic doesn't. Engine rating: 35/100 — solid skeleton, no muscle.

Speaking with developers IRL this week and using their feedback to shape Sumi’s developer layer. We’re building the base infrastructure for teams to launch fixed-window perps markets on Solana.

Percolator-style perps make sense for mid-to-large caps with deeper liquidity. Sumi is for microcap-to-mid cap new-launch tokens: fast attention, thin liquidity, violent first windows. Both perps engines. Different market shape. Different risk window.

@2147_Million The key infrastructure is live, you can check out the full mainnet lifecycle proof in our github. Our next step is optimising developer-facing infra to make it easy for teams to launch composable bounded perps markets on top of what we have built.

Let me try to explain this in a simple way. Sumi is live as a perps protocol engine, not a public trading terminal - that is the job of developers that build on top of our perps engine, to make all sorts of pretty consumer interfaces for different types of traders. Long/short is handled at the program level through the market window instruction: a market is initialized, a window is opened with side = Long or Short, funding is marked, cover is routed, and the final slot seals settlement. We already ran this lifecycle on Solana mainnet as a example of a full perps lifecycle proof: program deploy, open-window tx, funding mark, cover route, seal-window tx, and decoded settlement trace. (see attached image) Public builder/trader surfaces come next — that's the "easy" part technical-wise, and basically the growth phase. Lifecycle proof mainnet Progam ID: solscan.io/account/GQ6AnP…

@SumiPerps How can I long or short? Can you show proof/make a post of the tech actually working on mainnet? Bought a bag, github looks legit.

We’ve been talking to the Solana dev community since launch, if you’re a dev and am interested in building a Perps DEX for Solana tokens or memecoins, please reach out. And yes, $SUMI will have utility in our ecosystem as we get more developers and platforms to build on top of our infrastructure.

@SumiPerps Is your tech live in production or are you still building out the concept?

New Solana markets often trade like short-lived battlegrounds. Liquidity appears fast. Attention moves faster. Sumi turns that behavior into a market primitive: permissionless perps with a known end point.

Sumi is live on Solana mainnet with program proof. Solana Program ID: GQ6AnPc2m1FYc74QnxXFjGazCsmMjeTDLMhj5UWZc9SY The important part is not the address alone. It is the lifecycle it proves: market opened, risk tracked, window sealed.

For those asking, CA is already updated on website and github. Team's tokens are also locked.
