Found this in a pair of jeans I thrifted. My coworker found out and she told me to bring it back to the thrift shop because it's the right thing to do even if it's just $10. There’s no reason they couldn’t do this in some gyms. I’m sure they have at least 3. They also could simply be intelligent enough to do it in groups on separate days.

Are all of the students and their family members all together in the same room at the same time in the school? Grad class was 432 kids. We had 4 immediate family members there watching plus 5 extended family members from out of state to watch. Plus many underclassmen came to graduation. If you limit each senior with say 2 tickets (for parents), then even siblings (or step parents) can’t come to watch graduation. At the last minute, how would that work? Or you realize we don’t melt in the rain, bring a raincoat or umbrella and watch the ceremony getting wet knowing you can dry off later. The rain stopped at the end and everyone gathered on the field to congratulate the graduates afterward. Would it have been better had it not rained? Of course. But humans are resilient and survived with a story to tell.

Centennial High School graduation in Franklin, Tennessee was held outdoors despite heavy rain and lightning Weather is known in advance so the caroming could have been moved indoors but school officials had a “Rain or Shine” Policy so the Pre-Set Plans had to move ahead They knew the rain was coming but thought they could get the ceremony done before the rain and didn’t want to move the ceremony into the gym. From what I could find they didn’t know if everyone would fit They even had a backup plan incase it rained Staff indicated that if it rained on Thursday, they’d try again Friday and go indoors if needed then. They stuck with the original Thursday plan rather than moving it to Friday Many parents and attendees were extremely frustrated, calling it unsafe due to the lightning strikes. They were disappointing because it was such a milestone

@luciawilke @WallStreetApes I’m just so confused on where you guys house all the students during the school day if you claim none of your schools have enough room to fit JUST SENIORS for graduation.

There was no lightning; it was rain only. Our daughter graduated that night from the next high school over. School facilities here aren’t large enough to hold the event indoors. And there aren’t public facilities around (like a convention center) that can hold that many, without going into Nashville. Another area public high school did hold graduation indoors at a Nashville university for the cost of $35k. Maybe that school had someone donate the money for that. There are over 10 high schools in the district. Is the district supposed to fork over tens of thousands of dollars for each high school so they can graduate indoors? The forecast for grad night (Thursday) was no better/worse than the back up dates/times (Friday PM, Sat AM), so the show went on as schedule on Thursday night. Was it a little miserable? Yes. What was the alternative though since the forecast for the other days was no better, if not worse? There aren’t multiple large facilities in which to hold the event locally (for 10 schools). Grad class at our school has 432 kids.

Now that we’re on “Vay-Kay” at an Air BnB, I’ve really experienced first hand what it’s like to have zero essentials in the kitchen. To make spaghetti is not as simple as buying pasta, sauce, and meat for $15. I also have to buy olive oil, S&P, sugar, coffee, wine, Saran Wrap, milk, eggs, mayo, mustard, bread, everything! It cost me over $250 to make Spaghetti. Would have been much, much cheaper to just get burgers in town. Who can even live this way! 🍝 🍷
