One of the best lectures I listened to during #ATCBoston2022 by @SumitMohanMD about what may limit innovation in transplant: is it regulations or perception of regulations? And how we can overcome these barriers by collecting high quality data. Great talk! All should listen

The failure to invest in the OPTN data or provide enough oversight or monitoring will hurt the field in the long term. #Transplant centers and OPOs are equally responsible for this registry and the failure to invest in this effort by everyone adversely impacts the entire field

This is pretty basic descriptive epi. Even that "forecast line" is pretty simple (IIRC, a cubic polynomial).
You don't always need "fancy models" to make a point.

From toilet paper to canceled school this has distrusted everything. But nothing is more important than nearly a million people lost. Most chilling though has been the decrease in number of people receiving dialysis. #NKFClinicals
