Aonishiki will not be back this basho. He will be Sekiwake in July, with one chance to regain his rank if he wins 10 or more matches. It turns out last basho he also had a broken tailbone... It's mended now.

@F_Manga18 @Josheye Having the ichimon named after you doesn't really mean you are its leader. For example, I don't think Takasago is the real leader of the Takasago ichimon (Hakkaku is probably the one, though ichimon are more or less ruled by consensus rather than specific oyakata).

@F_Manga18 @Josheye True. Note, however, that no foreign born oyakata has ever become a board member, so it's not like his prospects of that were good anyway. So yes, slower promotion, but no real difference in this particular case other than income.

@F_Manga18 @Josheye He is not, and has never been, a member of the board, though. The only representative of Isegahama ichimon in the board is Asakayama oyakata (former Kaio).

@yalla_behirot @nepodstatne_ It was in a mainstream newspaper. Though of course it never said exactly what Hakunofuji was doing with the woman. The Japanese term used can be anything from a drunken "Hello cutie, what's your insta?" to downright groping...
