If you're afraid of CSAT, These 20% topics will fetch you 80% of the marks. Practice them like your life is dependent on it. I have seen aspirants failing because of CSAT and it wasted their years. Do not take it lightly and practise daily for the next 45 days before the UPSC Prelims 2026.

Success in the UPSC Civil Services Preliminary Examination is no longer about how much you know; it is about knowing what matters. In an era of information overload, the biggest challenge for an aspirant is not finding resources, but filtering them. For years, I have observed brilliant students falter not because they lacked hard work, but because they lacked direction. The common narrative is that UPSC is "unpredictable." I strongly disagree. I believe that while the questions change, the logic remains consistent. The examiner leaves footprints in the form of recurring themes, evolving concepts, and specific "trap" patterns. The problem is that standard compilations bury these footprints under chronological lists, making it impossible to see the bigger picture. This PYQ Trend Map Compilation is my answer to that chaos. I have not just compiled questions; I have deconstructed them. By breaking down the syllabus into micro-topics, I have attempted to isolate the DNA of the exam. This book is designed to serve as a high-resolution lens, allowing you to see exactly which areas have been exhausted, which are rising in importance, and which are likely to return after a hiatus. My goal is to transform your preparation from "blind reading" to "strategic targeting." Struggling to balance UPSC prep with a full-time job? As a working professional, you can't afford to study everything. Here's what 3 hours a day can realistically cover in 90 days - and what to cut: ✅ Polity - NCERTs + Laxmikanth selected chapters only (not full book) ✅ Environment - 10 high-yield topics. Nothing beyond. ✅ Economy - Budget highlights + 6 core concepts. No theory. ✅ Geography - Maps + rivers + climate. NCERTs sufficient. ✅ Current Affairs - Only PIB + one newspaper. Not both. ❌ Cut - State-specific schemes not in national news ❌ Cut - Deep history beyond modern India ❌ Cut - Science theory beyond NCERT level ❌ Cut - Full Laxmikanth cover to cover 3 hours used precisely beats 8 hours used randomly. Bookmark this. Build your 90-day list around it. What's your biggest cut from the syllabus? Reply below!

Ancient History for UPSC Prelims 2026. UPSC aspirants spend 2 months and still fail to score in this subject. You're reading random things and wasting time. I am here decoding what you actually need to study, and it can be done in 7 days. In the last 10 years, these 5 topics are the UPSC's favourites: Read them, revise them and practise them multiple times. 1. Archaeological sites and their importance. 2. Ashoka's timeline and important features. 3. Buddhism, Jainism and Cultural Contributions. 4. The Gupta Period and its significance. 5. Indus Valley Civilisation. If you hate history and still don't want to leave it completely. Focus on these topics and you will be able to score 90% in this subject.
