My world was turned upside down this weekend. As some of you may have seen, I was featured on a recent episode of Vitaly Zdorovetskiy’s live series, where I was wrongfully portrayed as someone attempting to engage in an inappropriate conduct. This accusation is completely false. Since then, Vitaly has publicly acknowledged, through both written and video statements, that this was a mistake. Additionally, the officers from the Santa Ana Police Department, who I called to the scene, conducted their own assessment and confirmed that I am innocent of any wrongdoing.  I am sincerely grateful to Officers Renald Galstian, Lorenzo Sanchez, and Joanna Hatziefstratiou for their professionalism and for taking the time to carefully evaluate the situation and establish the truth. While I appreciate that the mistake has been acknowledged, the impact of the false accusation has been significant. I have experienced harassment, judgment, and damage to my personal and professional relationships based on something that has now been proven false. I wholeheartedly support efforts to expose real wrongdoing and protect the vulnerable. At the same time, this experience has shown me how important due process and verification are because mistakes, when made publicly, can have serious consequences on innocent lives. Jag kommer i veckan att upprätta en direktkontakt med Dumpen och erbjuda att Sverigedemokraterna ersätter hela beloppet som Sara Nilsson dömdes att betala, både skadeståndet och rättegångskostnaderna. Sverigedemokraterna arbetar redan för att polisen ska använda brottsprovokation och till exempel göra precis det arbete Dumpen gör, men med gripande och rättegång som slutresultat. Detta är snart verklighet. Rovdjur på nätet, som letar efter barn att förgripa sig på, ska veta att det mycket väl kan vara en polis de chattar med. Att vi har en förtalslagstiftning som skyddar pedofiler som aktivt letar möjligheter att fullkomligt ödelägga unga liv, innan de knappt har börjat, är inte värdigt en rättsstat som säger sig värna barnen. Förtalslagstiftningen behöver göras om så att den skyddar människor mot förtal, utan att underlätta livet för barnvåldtäktsmän och andra grova brottslingar.

Well, if for you it's a pretty decent solution to offer your work for free instead, then I would absolutely agree! :) The people who enabled his success are his Patreons. I am one of them and his attitude towards us has been pretty fantastic, churning out VR mod after VR mod! For me and the other Patreons his works seems to be worth the money. I think where Luke could absolutely improve on is how he communicates what's actually going on. I have access to his Patreon posts in which he explains the situation. But for people who just follow this on social media it might feel like "nah fuck it" or "now I take all my mods down, you suckers!!!" . :) But it's not like that. So Luke, if you read this, you need to get better at that. A good start would be to make the last posting "Under Attack" public!

I am honestly surprised by the hate @LukeRoss_00 is getting from parts of the VR community. This is someone who enabled VR experiences for games like Cyberpunk that we would otherwise never be able to play in VR. That takes enormous time, skill, and persistence. Wanting to earn money for that work is not outrageous. It is normal. His mods are optional. Patreon is optional. If the price is not worth it to you, do not pay. That is exactly how a free market works. Nobody is entitled to someone else’s labor for free. If someone made a better or free alternative, people would stop supporting Luke. That would also be fair. The reality is that nobody else put in that level of work. The copyright argument also feels dishonest. He is not redistributing assets or games. You still need to buy the original title. In fact, many people bought these games because his mods exist. I am one of them. If we start attacking people who are actually capable of making a living building VR experiences, especially when big studios refuse to invest in VR, then we should seriously ask ourselves where this community is heading.
