@steelcitytim412 Unfortunately it comes down to money anymore which Pitt doesn’t have and I just know another school that does threw a bunch of money at him to instead come to their school as they prob didn’t get a recruit they wanted. More players now follow the money not go to try and develop

@SundayBagels @PBMasten @PaulZeise That makes no sense. Kids very rarely stay if a coach that recruited them is fired. Those guys came to Pitt because they wanted to play for Capel.

About halfway through the season when it was clear Roman Siulepa was a one-man wrecking crew with large upside I told anyone that would listen “no way Pitt has the money to keep that guy” And now people are acting shocked he is entering the portal?

@PBMasten @PaulZeise Nah. I think they kept him because, A. Buyout was too much, and B. He has a top 15 recruiting class in the country coming in, 3 guys that are supposedly legit. Probably afraid they'd decommit if he was fired.
