#001 The Sunday Report ⛳️ 2026 Masters Tournament -Rory made history by becoming the fourth player to ever win back to back after Jack Nicklaus, Nick Faldo, and Tiger Woods. -Although it was a very good tournament it felt almost anticlimactic that Rory won because of how he had been preparing compared to the rest of the field. He made some shots where you could tell he had put more preparation in. Ex. 13 putt from back of green for birdie/ hitting out of the pine straw on 11/ his chip shots on 3. -Rory led by 6 after 36 holes and let it up after shooting a 73 on Saturday, while the other players like Cam Young and Justin Rose went low. -Bobby Mac and Sergio Garcia controversially smashed/ threw their clubs and “were reminded” of the etiquette standards that Augusta National has. -Notable unexpected good performers: 1. Collin Morikawa finished T7th despite him limping around the course. Hit some great shots ex. Out of the bunker at 1 for birdie. 2. Jake Knapp finished solo 11th at -7 in only his second masters of his career. 3. Keegan Bradley had a good finish at T21 -3 after having a slow 7 months of golf. -Notable unexpected bad performers: 1. Bryson Dechambeau missed the cut after having trouble around the greens and with his distance control on approach shots. 2. JJ Spaun after winning at Valero Texas Open only 2 weeks ago missed the cut after struggling putting. 3. Nicolai Hojgaard missed the cut at his first shot at the Masters. Struggling with 12 par 3 both days and having 3 putts on 5 and 6. -Overall think this was a great Masters. A tournament we look forward to all year. I was surprised to see how easily Augusta played during some rounds and then others it seemed like it dried up fast. I am interested to see if Rory will continue to be in contention because of his dedication to this tournament.

Remarkable and uncharacteristic day on the greens for Jake Knapp. Didn't make a putt outside 5 feet and lost more than 5 strokes on the greens, dead last at the RBC Heritage. He ranks 2nd on TOUR in putting this year.

You can see it all over his face he’s annoyed as shit that the guy even said anything to him during filming 🤣 just wanted him to F off

@SundayRprtGolf @NUCLRGOLF @BrysonLegion I’m sure there is a genuine happiness that goes into some of it, but I believe his persona the last few years has mostly been fake. At times recently when there’s some adversity, or even just a slight annoyance, I’ve seen him resort back to his dickish personality to people.

Of course, Tiger should play -- golf is ENTERTAINMENT -- people want to see the big-name players - you aren't naive enough to believe differently.

@SundayRprtGolf @SteveCiole49010 @ForePlayPod @golfweek Did you read the rest of the quote from Harris? He wants the LIV players back so the PGAT can fulfill their TV commitments. In other words, they need the Star power of LIV players to get the audience that is required to have networks pay them. The lower players aren't doing it.
