Open Apology Letter to the Obidient Movement My Dear Obidient Family, I come before you today with a heavy heart, deep humility, and no excuses. Some time ago, in a moment of frustration and immaturity, I wrote and released a resignation letter as Director of Mobilization. In that letter, I allowed deep frustration & personal emotions to cloud my judgment. I made statements that subtly and unnecessarily dragged Peter Obi, a man I still respect for his vision, integrity, and sacrifice for this nation. That was wrong. It was childish, and beneath the standard I should have upheld, especially as someone who once held a leadership position in this movement. I take full responsibility. No one forced me to write it. No one edited it. It came from me, and it was a mistake. I deleted the letter afterwards, but I know deletion does not erase the damage, the disappointment, or the loss of trust many of you felt. I understand why some of you no longer respect me the way you once did. You had every right to feel let down. To Peter Obi himself (fondly called PO): Sir, I am sincerely sorry. My words were not a true reflection of the values of sacrifice, accountability, and constructive criticism that you preach. I failed in that moment. To every single Obidient, the ones who stayed grinding, the ones who defended the vision even when it was tough, the ones who felt betrayed by my actions, I am deeply sorry. You are the real heroes of this movement. Many of you are young people full of hope and fire for a better Nigeria. You didn’t deserve to see internal cracks turned into public drama. I let you down. I am not writing this because I want something or a position in the movement as I’m enjoying private life. I am writing it because it is the right thing to do. Leadership is not only about when the road is sweet and smooth; it is also about owning up when you mess up. I own this fully. I am committed to rebuilding trust through consistent actions, not just words. But I also know trust is not demanded, it is earned back slowly, if at all. Thank you for reading this. Whether you accept my apology or not, I respect your feelings and your right to hold me accountable. The love I have for a better Nigeria has not changed. You all know me. My respect for the Obidient spirit remains. I am sorry truly. With humility and hope for forgiveness, Your brother in this struggle, Morris Monye. Oya come let’s hug. 😊

Dear NDC, Peter Obi and Kwankwaso supporters, hope you all have witnessed how violent, disgraceful and manipulative the APC primaries all went. How APC denied their fellow APC aspirants and their supporters from participating in the primaries. How they threatened, beat up and intimidated fellow APC members, stopping them from voting. How they manipulated the votes, manipulated the results and rigged the elections across board. If they can do this to their fellow APC members in a pre-election contest, what do you think will happen in 2027 election to opposition parties, supporters and candidates. If ordinary primaries can be this violent, bloody, manipulative, and outrightly rigged, what will happen in 2027. Are you read to defend your votes? Are you ready to face the APC? Remember this is not 2023, if they play the music, you must be ready to sing with them, and dance with them. Pass this message across to every NDC member. OK is possible if we can be proactive and reactive. No time to go to court oooo. We must settle everything on the field.

Dear Asari Dokubo, You may recall that I called you privately about this issue three years ago. I physically went to Chicago State University on Monday, September 19, 2022. I verified directly from the horse's mouth and with pictorial and other documentary evidence that then-candidate Bola Ahmed Tinubu was admitted, attended lectures, passed examinations, and graduated from CSU. Even though that revelation was against my political interests, I released a video and a press statement which was published by the Nigerian and international media. This was followed by my publication of a document presented to me by Chicago State University verifying the bona fides of then-candidate Tinubu. I also granted interviews affirming that fact five months before the 2023 election. I was the first person to verify that fact physically, and after I published my findings, the British Broadcasting Corporation ran a report vindicating those findings. After Chicago, I proceeded to Peru to investigate this claim you just made against Peter Obi. I went to the women's prison in Lima, Peru, with a witness who is still alive and a video camera. I also visited authorities in that country, and confirmed that the story that Peter Obi is a drug baron who sponsored a female drug mule to Peru, and that the girl was arrested, tried, and implicated him during her trial is false. I also granted an interview to Arise TV right from Cusco, Peru. This was on Tuesday, November 22, 2022. I thereafter called you on the phone and told you not to make the allegation anymore, because it was not true, and it is morally wrong to accuse a man of a crime he is innocent of. You may recall that you agreed with me. As we approach the 2027 election, please can we all refrain from recycling these allegations, which I have already debunked. I spent my money and time to establish the facts. Nobody gave me a dime. I did this because of patriotism and commitment to justice, even when it is against my political interests. So it is rather disconcerting to see these allegations being recycled. Nigeria first. Always! Thank you, and may God bless you. Reno Omokri Ambassador Designate to Mexico. Gospeller. Education Challenge: Not Funding but failure of leadership and Accountability. The recent comments made by the Minister of Education are quite alarming. Despite receiving nearly 80% of educational donor funding over the last ten years, the North-West and North-East regions still show the lowest literacy and numeracy rates in Nigeria. This issue goes beyond just a lack of funding; it highlights failures in leadership, accountability, and governance. Financial resources alone do not guarantee proper education. What truly makes a difference in education is the responsible and transparent management of these funds, aimed at achieving tangible results and a genuine commitment to developing human capital. We cannot continue to commend government budgets, donor contributions, and various intervention programs while millions of children in Nigeria still lack basic reading and writing skills, which are essential for thriving in today's world. The real tragedy lies not just in the numbers, but in the lost potential of countless children whose futures are being compromised by systemic inefficiency and corruption. Nigeria’s most valuable asset is not its oil, politics, or propaganda. It resides in the human capital of our youth. A country that overlooks education is essentially setting itself up for cycles of poverty, insecurity, unemployment, and instability in the future. The Minister’s statement should prompt a national dialogue on how public funds and donor contributions are utilised. Every kobo spent on education must lead to clear improvements in literacy rates, school enrollment, teacher performance, and overall learning outcomes. Anything less is unacceptable. Countries that have developed successfully, or are on the fast track to development, have made substantial investments in education. Nations like China, India, Indonesia, Vietnam, and Bangladesh have recognised the invaluable impact of education on progress and growth. Now, Nigeria must transition from mere discussions about education to achieving real outcomes. We need to construct schools, train teachers, modernise educational systems, enhance monitoring processes, and ensure every intervention directly benefits the children it is meant to serve, rather than being siphoned off by political intermediaries and bureaucratic systems. A nation’s progress is closely linked to the quality of its education system. A brighter future for Nigeria is achievable! -PO

@Dee_9889 You can't try this in North, Isolating yourself and staying in the bush with your family. In the North it's not every community that you are allowed to stay. I'm speaking from experience.

Yesterday, 18th May 2026, in Ogidi, Idemili North Local Government Area of Anambra State, a group of northerners was discovered living in a bush area that had not been allocated to them by the community or any authority. This incident has raised serious concerns about insecurity, as it highlights how these individuals were able to settle and establish themselves in the area for a considerable period without the knowledge of the local community.
