☀️ Following the completion of the Hacken audit of the Sundial Testnet and BTC yield infrastructure, Sundial has implemented a series of targeted security enhancements to address PSBT construction, transaction finalisation, encoding consistency, and script-level correctness. All identified issues (medium and low severity) have been resolved.✅ Key post-audit improvements include: PSBT construction integrity (BIP-174 alignment) • Enforced inclusion of full previous output data for all inputs • Resolved deviations in PSBT output format & signing pipeline across builders Segwit transaction consistency • Correct separation of witness vs non-witness data handling for SegWit-compatible transactions • Fixed mismatches between address generation and spending assumptions (P2SH vs SegWit-like outputs) API hardening • Resolved recursive facade calls in spending and funding flows • Enforced proper delegation to transaction manager layer to eliminate stack overflow risk • API-level serialization sanitised to prevent internal object leakage Timelock and CSV enforcement • Improved relative timelock (BIP-68) handling • Corrected sequence encoding and detection logic for CSV-based scripts Logical safeguards • Input selection constraints strengthened to reduce unsafe UTXO selection patterns • Removed fallback logic that could assign incorrect script contexts to PSBT inputs • Upper-bound validation introduced for transaction amount handling Collectively, these changes materially strengthen the library's security, consistency and user experience. 🎙️ If you want to find out more, Sundial will host an X Space with @hackenclub on 19 May 11:00 EST to walk through the audit findings and broader implications for secure Bitcoin-native yield infrastructure. Another big step forward for Sundial! Audit complete. Big thanks to Hacken for this! But of course my biggest praise has got to go to our Sundial team. We had only a handful of tiny vulnerabilities and we got those immediately wrapped up. Onwards and upwards from here everyone! ☀️

No, there is no wrapped BTC in any form here ☀️ The product audited was our BTC Yield locker, which is used for Custodial BTC Yield. While it is not our flagship non-custodial yield product (which is also separate from any form of wrapped BTC), it is our first product tailored for Bitcoin HODLers.
