Trump even coached him on the cover story, telling Ralston to claim it’s “for transparency” and “to uncover fraud.” Then the most damning line: “Who’s gonna stop you for that?” Ralston’s reply says it all: “A federal judge, possibly.” This was a sitting president actively probing how to illegally nullify an election, and joking about whether the courts could stop him.
