@FinancialTimes released some (unsuprising) stats about vibe coding this week: Some thoughts about this: Software production is collapsing toward zero marginal cost. Which means the value isn't in building anymore it is in getting people to actually give a damn. Human attention is the last real scarcity. Everyone can ship an app now. Nobody can manufacture the desire to open it. The interesting problem isn't AI flooding channels with content but that AI exposes a gap that was always there already: The distance between technically correct output & something people actually care about. That gap is taste. And you can't prompt your way to it. Even though it feels counterintuitive, AI widens that gap instead of closing it imho. If you have "taste" in your niche, AI becomes a force multiplier. If you don't, it just helps you produce mediocre work faster which is arguably worse (and will get more and more useless). Marketing + AI isn't the same story as coding + AI. Code has a "real finish line" while marketing does not. Distribution is the last moat. Get good with it.
