We’re delighted to have completed the handover of Kingston House Gardens in Leatherhead to Clarion Housing! This development features 20 apartments & 16 houses, all within walking distance of Leatherhead town centre. Check out this time-lapse photo showcasing the project!

Construction of Plumpton College’s Veterinary Nursing & Therapies Centre continues at pace! Hands-on student learning facilities include a commercial canine care clinic with hydrotherapy suite, underwater treadmill, consultation rooms, clinical training suite & classrooms.🐕‍🦺🐶

This week began with a networking breakfast at Plumpton Racecourse featuring AI talks from Vincent Murphy. We attended events on housing targets and sustainability at Hove County Cricket Ground and Buxted Park Hotel, concluding with a Net Zero Sussex Chamber of Commerce event.

Huge thanks to ECE Architecture for another fabulous Women in Construction event at the Sussex Yacht Club. HOP & ECD Architects talked us through the designs to the challenges & risks of the build itself. Great catching up with Kelly Ohaire, Emma Greenland and Veronika.

Delighted to announce the winner of the LABC South East “Construction Specialist of the Year” is our very own Colin Coulthard. Colin will now be a finalist for the “LABC Building Excellence Awards Grand Finals” later this year. Congratulations Colin – very well deserved!!

The Steyning Children’s Triathlon took place on 17th August, jointly run by the Brighton Tri & @SteyningAC co-sponsored by Sunninghill. One of our team, Kevin Hancock was this year’s Event Director. It was a huge success. 161 children took part enjoying the sunshine. #Triathlon

In 2024, we’re celebrating Sunninghill’s 50th Anniversary by sharing images from our journey. Education spend surged from £6b in the mid-2000s to £10b by 2010, benefiting 185 schools. Projects completed around this time included Carshalton College & Glenthorne High School.

Economic Growth From 1990 - early 00s the UK saw a steady growth in the economy & contributed to the 3rd biggest house rise. Average housing costs doubled from £100k from 2000 to 2007. Projects completed: Broomswicks Place Carlton Hill Downland Place Crawley Railway Approach

Year 2000 - The turn of the century presented challenges for construction companies, ranging from technological & financial issues to changes in market demands, regulatory requirements & project delays. Sunninghill continued ‘Business as usual’ and there were no consequences.

In the 90s/00s, schools began to invest in computers & internet access preparing students for the digital age. Initiatives were launched to improve ICT education & resources: Design & Technology Centre Willingdon School Seaford Head Lower School Denton Island Training Centre

The 90s & early 00s saw notable developments in sports infrastructure. The UK hosted several large sporting events, inc European Football Championships in 96' & spurred investments in this area: Rugby Clubhouse Sports Pavilion Cuddington Golf Club Eastbourne Sports Park

In the early 1990s, UK government introduced National Health Service reforms such as Private Health Care & allowing investment in public infrastructure, including hospitals, leading to a surge in the construction & refurbishment of healthcare facilities funded by private capital.

Our South Street, Lancing project is progressing well. Groundworkers are finishing drainage and ductwork, with car park works starting soon. This project, for Adur & Worthing District Council, will include 7 temporary and emergency houses, set to complete by early 2025.
