@holographicpink Easiest way to achieve this effect would just be to have a second mesh, like in your example. You could also make a really simple lit shader but instead of using a light direction use a vector in object space so that the shadow doesn't move.

I worked hard on the soliton radar but it's not perfect. You won't be able to use it when the enemy is alert, or when electronically jammed. Snake, it will also stop working if you are in a tight crawlspace, I uh... I don't know why though. Some bugs are just hard to fix OK!?
