On this International Day of Remembrance of the Victims of Slavery and the Transatlantic Slave Trade, we honour the countless lives stolen, and we also affirm the brilliance, resilience, and enduring contributions of African peoples across the diaspora. This day is not only a time for reflection, but also a time to take action through education, and by expanding real opportunities, addressing inequities, and investing in systems that allow talent to flourish. We must take concrete steps toward a world where everyone can live with dignity, equality, and hope.
