Our reporter @TeranRodriguez1 caught up with @CDMFOOTBALL coach @Khettoc following his team’s run through the South County Classic at Mission Viejo High School. Overall, an amazing day for the Sea Kings, despite a tough loss in the quarterfinals, as they had players step up.

Santa Margarita beat Laguna Beach 21-14, as @CDMFOOTBALL officially finishes second in Pool C. And with that, the Sea Kings are off to the gold bracket playoffs of the South County Classic! Impressive stuff from the Sea Kings, as they await their quarterfinal opponent!

.@CDMFOOTBALL is 2-1-1 in their pool while Santa Margarita is 3-0, Mater Dei is 1-2 and Laguna Beach is 1-1-1. Santa Margarita and Laguna Beach are playing each other right now. If Laguna Beach beats Santa Margarita, between Laguna and CDM, it’ll come down to point differential, then points for then points against — per tournament director and Mission Viejo coach Chad Johnson.

Mater Dei scores, but time runs out. @CDMFOOTBALL beats Mater Dei 23-15 to end pool play 2-1-1. For the time being. They’re still in contention for making it to the gold bracket, but only time will tell if they get in. But great stuff so far from the Sea Kings.
