@Luna1Primal I wish we could have seen more boss characters like the giant fish lol.

So that's why Hisoutensoku only has 5 stages instead of 6, in addition to the extra stage. Rumia was also supposed to be one of the first stage 1 bosses instead of Cirno. So much content was discarded due to lack of motivation.

@megapig9001 I also consider the common Reimu attacks of Yin-Yang balls bouncing around the ground and edges of the screen something that harkens back to HRtP.

Fun Touhou Fact: Despite Touhou 1 not being referenced much in later games, one of Reimu's moves in Soku, "Sliding Ascension Kick", is actually inspired by a similar move Reimu can do in Touhou 1!
