@Spartan_Sailor @SheaSerrano I do agree with you on the protest part and I try to just not care much if politics at a local level so I do think perhaps some bias from staff was involved. I also learned for a friend who knows both better and neither are very “strong minded” people.

Fair enough he has his beliefs. Liking or not liking the attention is of no consequence in a society that records and posts everything. Two questions come to mind. 1) why is a school (or school system) that is responsible for education allowing students to protest? What is this really teaching the next generation? 2) Why isn’t the general population carrying itself better knowing they could be the next “viral video” for better or worse? For all the flack that this kid is getting (and I know I’ve added to it) I certainly don’t want him to be one of those statistics that allows what he’ll later see a a huge mistake to define his life. So much so that he ends up taking it. For his sake I hope he’ll open his mind up in the future and be better.
