The Yokai Tree boss is gorgeous...... that screaming bark face with the branch-arms reaching down has real Princess Mononoke energy, and the painterly forest layering with the paper lanterns and pink flora is doing genuine art-direction work. Kodama as folklore framing also gives the world built-in mythological weight; players come in already knowing the forest has memory. Wishlisting. 🌳👹

@SuperRoboy Funny contrast with the player looking determined and serious while the enemies have those faces frozen in "horror"😃 Also the hand getting larger on impact with that smoke FX is sweet! btw. the texture atlas for that tree must be huge?
