The district also supported nearly 1,000 beginning teachers through intensive mentoring, coaching and professional learning, resulting in an 82% retention rate for beginning Exceptional Children teachers.

Graduates in the Class of 2025 also earned a record $233 million in scholarships. In addition, investments in Career and College Promise and Advanced Placement (AP) courses are giving students a head start on earning college credit.

GCS has maintained a 10-year trend of graduating students at a higher rate than the state, with the district’s current four-year graduation rate at 92.1%, including record-setting rates for Black students and Students with Disabilities.
