STORY TIME
I've been a big follower of John for a long time, 3 years ago I was in school, broke, frustrated and hungry
So I went into his DM to ask for aid, I wasn't expecting much since I know his flooded with dms, but surprisingly he responded, but not with the aid I asked for, but he responded with a YouTube link of an 11 hours long video teaching UI/UX designing 😂😂
He said since I could still afford data then I can afford to watch that video,and as offended as I was I knew I couldn't be entitled to his money. After a week I decided to check the video out and that was how my story started 🕐
HOW I LEARNED UI/UX DESIGNING
It took me about half a year to learn, I remember using a friends laptop anytime it was free to practice, I started getting a hang of it and slowly started enjoying UI/UX, it was fun and exciting.
Half a year later when I was a bit confident in it, I sent him a DM of some of the works I've designed and again he responded, I told him how I don't have a laptop of my own, how I need it to keep practicing to reach a point of mastery and he responded a number (message him, tell him John sent you, that you're a UI/UX designer and I did, and after an intense interview with the person that was how I landed my first gig.
I used a borrowed laptop to complete the job, and it turns out that person he linked me up with is a software developer who works with a lot of tech companies, and for every development a UI/UX designer is needed.
Without sending me a penny that was how John changed my life
I'm still not rich yet, but I can care for all my needs and that of my family, I have a place of my own and a car of my own💯
I pray this goes viral so others can learn from my experience
