Don’t get me wrong, I love the longer tales too, but it would be so nice to be a more casual reader across multiple titles. You’d get to impulse buy more often. I bet you’d hear a lot more of things like “Eh, I liked the cover” as the reason for checking it out.

@casinoqueen0 Sadly it’s that fifth Wednesday of a month and none of the books I’m reading hit shelves. It’s a dry day for me.

That’s why every social and political disagreement gets framed the way it does now. That’s why every asshole in the country and online doesn’t have to realize that they’re the asshole anymore. They have a team of other assholes telling them that it’s ok.

To me it all stems from that. All your incels, all your comicsgate, all your “alt-right”, all your MAGA, all your all of it. Because Murdoch, the Koch’s, and Mitch McConnell framed it as franchise devotion, like a sports team, and huge swathes of people bought it all.
