Innately, they just know this chord sounds good with that chord. Its music theory in practice without the study.

@BigOlLewbowski @SupernovaKen1 No, that would require reading comprehension to understand, you can push agenda with that. But seriously though it was spoonfed that he didn't know what "Kingly" ambition even was, it's possible he never even heard of Conquerors Haki up to this point.

Levels of established thanks to Rocks flashback 1. Supernova/Rookie/Warlord/Vice Admiral (Pre ts) 2. Worst Gen (Post timeskip) 1% chance to ext diff a Yonko 3. Yonko/Admiral Rocks/Garp/Roger were 3, WB and everyone on Rocks crew were 2 and Young Kaido was 1 at the time.
