I am an advocate of doing the opposite of the current trends, in really anything results oriented.
It is widely known 2027 is a good draft & teams are not moving picks from next year. Teams also now see how bad Atlanta overpaid, this will cause a overcorrection & offers to get back into round 1 will be lower than previous years.
I think this equates to an opportunity to actually go for it in 2026, get MAXIMUM VALUE in moving 2027 draft assets & other franchises willing to take less than normal for 2026 draft picks. If the offers to trade up or back into round 1 in 2026 against you are lower than normal, pull the trigger this year for + EV (Expected Value).

If the Bills are looking to trade back in 2026 … given the reputation of this draft compared to 2027 … I just don’t see the compensation being more than a 1/4 or 2/ late 3 - early 4. Teams won’t wanna repeat Atlanta’s bad overpay. Beane got very little for his last trade back.

@stevehunsaker1 Last time I did a kitchen I put in a second dishwasher (a Miele, no less) and it was cheaper than the cabinet it replaced in the drawings.
So yes a German made machine that has to contend with power, heat, and hot water was less money than an empty box made one mile away.

I looked into this more discussing Dalton Kincaid & load management.
Surgical outcomes are similar to rehab and that’s why he didn’t get surgery last year. That’s fine & I agree.
With how much of an issue the knee was last year, the ligament may be more damaged than we know.
But if he doesn’t present with significant instability bc of the rehab previously done or have other ligament damage, doctors may say, no need to go in until it worsens.
Surgery is done if there is persistent laxity or multiligament injury.
I don’t have all the answers but I’d be cautious on signing him to an extension until he proves that knee is sound.
