JWE Irritator Edit: While I agree it looks good, fits the JP style better than most, & is in the right direction, I still think it needs a little more time in the oven to nail the aesthetic. I believe below is what some fans mean when making the criticisms I've seen lately.

@FredtheDinoman @Paleonyx_Art Honestly I have this feeling about all newcomers from Evo2 to Evo3, is just generic accuracy with no stylization behind other than call every paleonerd to praise it cause is accurate. New adds should've been stylized to some degree cause that's what you'd expect for JP/JW game

@Paleonyx_Art ...I wish they were more reserved, primitive, gritty, and 90s/early 2000s without losing decent anatomy.

This take has been consistent ever since the feathered species pack, and its mind numbing. Recent frontier designs don't even stick out from JP era designs that much, certainly less so than some JW designs Why does modern accuracy get more backlash than ugly inaccurate monsters?

@Paleonyx_Art ...but alot of Fr's originals seem very soft, smooth, and a bit too average paleoart for it to feel uniquely JP (not JW). We can have both, a perfect blend, as seen in Deinonychus and Cryo, but it needs a keener eye and better understanding to get there.

@LDranakar Regarding the "beak stuff" I don't generally see anything wrong with that since a lot of (if we go by close relatives) tortoises have very funky scale dispersion and iguanians (like Marine iguana) too. Faded isn't incorrect tho, however is more an "artistic" way if makes sense

@LDranakar The why sometimes skull gets skinwrapped is basically the previous statement, their closest relatives tend to have very skin wrapped soft tissue around their heads and jaw while having very chicken like, "folds that falls off" way (depending on their sizes) 2/
