I know it’s difficult to believe it especially when cheating is normal to you, but some people actually wrote their WAEC by themselves without 'expo'. They also graduated from university without sorting any lecturer or cheating in exams. And this is how it is supposed to be! By the way, even if I did it, it does not negate the fact that it is wrong. The fact that you clearly don’t see an inherent problem with examination malpractice and the long term effects it has on the people who engage in it is very typical of people who used 'expo' to pass WAEC. You are simply incapable of understanding it. So, you resort to Appeal to Common Practice fallacy.

@_MsLinda Actually, it seems Chowdeck pays riders 100 percent of the delivery charge already and even bonuses to supplement that. It would be interesting to have that publicly confirmed when this launches.

I hope 100% of fees to riders is not their only competitive strategy. It will cost chowdeck almost next to nothing to do similar in order to save their market share.
Name cannot be blank@hackSultan

This company @swoopappng raised $7.3M to build a food delivery app, and decided the primary location would be Lagos, Nigeria. One of the few places in Nigeria with the highest rate of online orders, but also the highest rate of delivery problems to match. And they decided that the strategy is to let riders keep 100% of the delivery fees. So now other platforms have to gear up, or they’ll take all the available riders. The more riders they have, the faster their delivery system will be, and the more users will want to use them. It’s tough but I believe that it can really be done. Let’s see how this strategy goes

@chi_di_ebere @julian__duru Until the day a legislator is successfully recalled as a consequence of not serving the people, elected officials routinely not getting re-elected due to impropriety - nothing will change.

@julian__duru Legislators have numbers they don't understand, citizens see numbers they don't understand and when these institutions break them down, the two sides don't know what to do with it. Knowing money without its value isn't very helpful.

Nigeria already has most of the transparency infrastructure it needs. OAGF publishes. BudgIT exists. NEITI audits. The CBN publishes data. The IPPIS exists. The TSA exists. GIFMIS exists. OAGF: the Office of the Accountant-General of the Federation, which keeps the books and publishes federal financial statements. BudgIT: a civic tech organization that translates budget data into accessible dashboards and reports for the public. NEITI: the Nigeria Extractive Industries Transparency Initiative, which audits oil, gas, and solid-minerals revenues against what’s actually remitted to government. CBN: the Central Bank of Nigeria, which publishes macroeconomic, monetary, and external-sector data. IPPIS: the Integrated Payroll and Personnel Information System, the federal payroll platform built to eliminate ghost workers and standardize remuneration. TSA: the Treasury Single Account, which consolidates federal government revenue into a single CBN-held account instead of scattered MDA accounts. GIFMIS: the Government Integrated Financial Management Information System, the platform used to plan, execute, and report on the federal budget. Between them, almost everything you’d want to know about how public money moves is already recorded somewhere. The issue is that seeing the numbers and being able to act on them are two different things. What’s missing is consequence. Legislators see the numbers and don’t act. Citizens see the numbers and don’t act.

It’s crazy that till now and in the world of AI none of our business account startups has an “audit” feature where you connect your account and it can generate audited accounts, using that possibly create a financial statement, and financial model

Again if you so-called literate youth like, don't vote. Decide that it's not your portion & be subject to the whims of geopolitics & bad governance forever. We aren't yet aware of the world we're dealing with cos we've subconsciously accepted that we can't get better as a group.

For those of you who have solar setups and have the competence, consider logging your system to global solar data tracker like pvoutput.org. It's a great way to keep logs of solar data. Nigeria has a number of active users in there and there is a daily ranking based on daily generation.

I’m willing to make meaningful donations to any initiative focused on getting more Nigerians to get their PVCs. The 27% turnout we had last elections was so piss poor. If you’re working in this space or have strong ideas on how to improve participation, I’d be happy to connect.

Taking responsibility for your life involves ALL the spheres that affect you. That's why it looks like you're not doing much. Meanwhile, NEPA, data, bad roads, poor healthcare, poor food quality, inflation are there to attack you DAILY. You're paying a premium for bad governance.

A moving man will meet his luck. Better start applying that logic to politics. You don't give up on your goals forever because it didn't work out in 4 years, you know you still have hope. You're still working and believing. So what makes good governance any different?

You're going to work hard, sure, because you're a tenacious individual who's hungry for success. But that success doesn't exist in a vacuum. You shouldn't have to kill yourself to get the basics. That's why it seems like many of your friends are "blowing" abroad in a few years.
