@TrueIndology Wrong analysis- most of Indian women did not wear western clothing atleast until 1990’s - but we were open society with respect to clothing. You can’t show images of villages and picture a political reality. The fact that some women could wear is enough

Social Media seems to believe that Iran of 1960s and 1970s was a liberal western paradise that did not know of any Burqa before Khomeini arrived. The fact is that the pictures shared on SM are those of affluent rich Iranian elite which was thoroughly westernised. At no point did this class represent the majority of Iranians. Today, most of their descendants live in Western countries and are just as westernized. The fact is that a majority of Iranian women has been under Burqa from the last 1000 years. Any other generalization is mere cherry picking.

You’re born onto a planet you never asked to exist on… and society immediately hits you with: “Okay, now go earn the right to eat, sleep, rest, and have shelter.” Like… zoom out for a second. We’re floating on a rock in infinite space and we created a game where you have to spend most of your life working just to not starve or freeze to death. The whole concept is actually insane when you think about it.

Regarding the OpenAI case, the judge & jury never actually ruled on the merits of the case, just on a calendar technicality. There is no question to anyone following the case in detail that Altman & Brockman did in fact enrich themselves by stealing a charity. The only question is WHEN they did it! I will be filing an appeal with the Ninth Circuit, because creating a precedent to loot charities is incredibly destructive to charitable giving in America. OpenAI was founded to benefit all of humanity.

Udhayanidhi Stalin has once again spread venom against Sanatan Dharma. He has again called for Sanatan to be eradicated. Astonished to read a May 2024 column by a seasoned mainstream Bengal journalist who argued that the BJP doesn’t understand Bengal because (among other things) “sexual malfeasance is not a conversation point in Bengal.” Exact words. I’m not making this up. 2 years later:

Elon’s whole career is basically a revenge arc. Pushed out of PayPal? Ok, I’ll do rockets. Wanted to grow veggies on Mars, not for profit, just to make humanity care about space again. Goes to buy Russian rockets. Russians mock him. Ok, I’ll make my own rockets. Then Apollo astronauts mock commercial space. Ok, I’ll make commercial space real. Auto industry mocks Tesla. Ok, I’ll become CEO and make the most valuable car company. Wants to start a nonprofit for safe AI. Got pushed out / sidelined / mocked. Ok, I’ll make my own AI lab. California mocked and blocked him? Ok, I’ll move to Texas and make Star City. Democrats mock him. Ok, I’ll help Trump win. Maybe the fastest way to change something on Earth is to find people in charge of it and encourage them to mock Elon?

Personne n'a planifié.

Interesting how it works Elon puts up his own money, rounds up the absolute best AI talent on the planet, leverages every connection he has to secure serious resources, and launches OpenAI in 2015 as a pure non-profit explicitly created to develop AI for the benefit of humanity, with zero profit motive and open research Then the “team” decides they want the bag They push Elon out, take control, and quietly flip the entire thing into a for-profit machine All while preaching the same sanctimonious lines on repeat: “We’re still mission-driven!” “AI for the good of humanity!” “We’d never abandon our principles!” The ultimate betrayal: Elon got zero equity. Not a single share. He funded it. He built the foundation. He got nothing while they turned his non-profit into their personal cash cow This is the level of betrayal and hypocrisy we’re dealing with And for the record.... this lawsuit doesn’t put a single penny in Elon’s pocket. Any win goes straight back to the non-profit to restore the exact mission he founded
OpenAI Newsroom@OpenAINewsroom

We can't wait to make our case in court where both the truth and the law are on our side. This lawsuit has always been a baseless and jealous bid to derail a competitor. We'll also finally have the chance to question Mr. Musk under oath before a jury of Californians about this attempt to undermine our work to ensure that artificial general intelligence benefits all of humanity.

I’m officially convinced. It was a hoax. The Trump Administration recruited a leftist Kamala Harris voting Trump hater to participate in a staged assassination that would include the shooter getting shot at and then locked in federal prison for the rest of his life. The Kamala Harris voter agreed to this plan, that works against his political and personal interests, because he’s just like a really generous guy. Meanwhile the Trump Administration, despite dastardly planning multiple assassination hoaxes, decided to keep their patsy alive and a permanent liability to them, rather than just killing him like they could have easily done. They did this because they also are really strangely generous in a very odd and specific way. So in summary we have a plot where all parties involved are working against their own interests with no real discernible benefit to any of them. There is no evidence of this plan and it doesn’t even make any intuitive sense and the motives for everyone are unclear if not insane, but still I believe it because I’m a very smart person.
