@sydneymguy Dogfish catches are subject to quotas in substantially every country that has commercial fisheries. Quotas are set annually and consider several factors including the maintenance of self-sustaining species populations. Hopefully that sheds some light on the product.

Maybe this is just me but the fact that @SurfStyleBeach bottles up and kills LITERAL HUNDREDS of baby sharks just to sell is cruel and inhumane! I don’t have a problem with the business but this, this is sad. 😞

@sydneymguy These sharks are the Dogfish Shark which is abundant in the Atlantic/Pacific Oceans. They are commercially caught and are common food fish, like many other fish species. These sharks are not fished for the purpose of the souvenir; they are by-products of commercial fishing.
