One more case to go on our 5th and final day in Tema, Ghana. Total for the week was 44! Amazing experience

Last day operating in Tema, Ghana. First case was an unreducible right inguinal hernia. Ann Chung MD and I had to do a partial omentectomy to be able to reduce the hernia. Large indirect. Got a great repair with mesh

We are rockin and rolling on day 4 in Tema, Ghana. 2 unilateral hernias completed and 1 lap bilateral hernia completed. 2 unilateral yet to go. Tried to get a bit of rest and look the sign my “friends” made….

Day #3 in Tema, Ghana has begun. On the schedule partial parotidectomy, excise of ganglion cyst, ventral hernia, lateral sphincterotomy, excision of masses right forearm. TRUE general surgery day for Nunoo, Chung and Ollila!

+1 more hernia to the Tuesday schedule. Ann Chung and I are cranking!!
