AAC Memorable moments: “We had been modelling using symbols in communication books with this boy for at least a year. Today he used it for the first time, by pointing to the “goodbye” symbol when an adult left the room. It was a really powerful and emotional moment.” #AACaware23

AAC Memorable moments: “A child was clearly looking at me and used partner-assisted scanning to communicate “weird”. His teacher tried to gloss over it, but the child was very clear in his message. I actually loved that his AAC system was helping him to insult me!” #AACaware23
