An excellent @mashable article tracks the increasing financial discrimination people & perfectly legal businesses are facing. Tools used to debank adult content creators are now being used on businesses & individuals that pose “reputational risk,” a rapidly expanding category.

I urged all members to reject the removal of the Digital Services Tax. Letting US big tech off the hook means walking away from $7.2B that could fund public services and infrastructure. We should not be abandoning Canadian policy simply because of pressure from Donald Trump.

“Sex trafficking isn’t sex work” sounds great but is flattening of so many experiences, reifying the idea that it is always some scary person kidnapping you into gang rape. Labor trafficking can be as simple as withheld wages. People experiencing that often do identity as workers

@BoothsRiley @gothamshitty so your solution to challenges facing people who are "precarious" (this is a broad term which has no meaning in this context)... is to continue to criminalize them? structural analysis has nothing to do with politics - it has everything to do with research ethics
