And long before European colonization, Africa had major urban civilizations such as Great Zimbabwe, Benin City, and cities of the Sahel, several of which had sophisticated sanitation and drainage systems, planned streets, and advanced engineering before the West employed their whole "destroy every civilization that moves" strategy. And still before that, Ancient Kemet gave the Greeks civilization.
