@TheScifibrarian 2/2 Share sweet memories of Sidney. When/if the time comes, suggest a memorial service. Be aware that there are pet loss support groups (many on Zoom) and hotlines if she needs to talk to others in the same boat. Lap of Love is a great website with excellent resources.

@TheScifibrarian 1/2 Listen. The best comfort is feeling heard. Validate that whatever she's feeling -- grief, fear, love, guilt -- is normal and understandable. Assure her that she is/was a good, loving pet parent. Suggest journaling or artwork as a way to externalize feelings.
