@BrownPhil68123 @LucyLetbyTrials @TomEvans80 I agree he has a somewhat arrogant demeanour, but that doesn't mean he's wrong. Another pathologist agreed with him independently. ( Or should I say "a pathologist?") And this case does not rely on pathological data alone of course

@SusiHarris @LucyLetbyTrials @TomEvans80 Evans said in a nutshell if he couldn't find a natural cause, it must be murder. What a dimwit. He is no expert as he admitted, he was unaware that in the Sally Clark case the infection that killed one of her babies was far from obvious, he says infection is always obvious, wrong

Twitter prevents me from replying to the video clips comment. The explanation given in the film is that they were twins. Not sure if that is sufficient though, it would be good to ask them. youtu.be/Ng7Cs6XPSqU?fe…

@LucyLetbyTrials @SusiHarris @TomEvans80 Nothing, and I mean absolutely nothing now surprises me about the sheer incompetence of those 'keystone cops' based in Cheshire. Even Clouseau would be appalled at the level of their stupidity.

Not everything relied on door swipe data. There were observations recorded and signed by nurses, narratives in medical records, witness statements, etc
Tom Evans@TomEvans80

@SusiHarris @BrownPhil68123 @LucyLetbyTrials I don't see how the data could be used both ways round to prove the same outcome. It should be a huge flag the story's being reverse engineered to fit the suspect.

@SusiHarris @LucyLetbyTrials @TomEvans80 7/ they were not doing actual investigation, from the start through confirmation bias they were trying to build a case, not do proper policing, i.e finding facts. There is much more, but do you see now why they are incompetent?

@BrownPhil68123 @LucyLetbyTrials @TomEvans80 A monumental spike, appeared suddenly and disappeared immediately when LL no longer there? "Raw sewage" =emotive term for grey water - no turds were floating around in sinks! Agree on overstretch - managemnt refusd bid for 9th consultant, ended up having to downgrade the unit

@SusiHarris @LucyLetbyTrials @TomEvans80 6/ classic signs of why spikes occur, inexperienced, understaffed, cramped conditions, 2 ward rounds a week instead of 2 per day, raw sewage in sinks etc, taking in very prem very ill babies they just couldn't cope with. The police approached the case with a closed mind

@BrownPhil68123 @LucyLetbyTrials @TomEvans80 My understanding is that the door swipe data was only relevant in a couple of cases and that in the case of baby k, the correct data was used in the second trial

@SusiHarris @LucyLetbyTrials @TomEvans80 4/ police miss read the swipe data got it the wrong way around, that data was used to 'prove,' Letby was there, the other problem, the unit had 2 doors, one allowing unrecorded entry or exit. Phone records 'proving' Letby lied, were timed in UST, Police didn't convert it to BST

@BrownPhil68123 @LucyLetbyTrials @TomEvans80 All but one (I think I'm I'm right in saying) showed NO signs of infection at postmortem. Infection is tested for routinely at postmortem. You see increases in white cells, swelling inflammation and other markers, plus no clinical signs of infection in the hours before death

@SusiHarris @LucyLetbyTrials @TomEvans80 3/ ... ignoring the actual pathologists reports stating natural causes. Hughes said he wanted to discover it was a bug on the unit, but it wasn't, the unit throughout the period was bathed in pseudonomas, deadly to neonates, that was in the hospital records.

@BrownPhil68123 @LucyLetbyTrials @TomEvans80 The other 10 deaths were EXPECTED deaths. The babies had been deteriorating in the days before. I believe one or two had congenital abnormalities which made death inevitable

@SusiHarris @LucyLetbyTrials @TomEvans80 2/ ignoring the other 10 deaths and dozens of collapses when Letby wasn't present. That's confirmation bias. Claimed it was based on statistical analysis', without getting a statistician involved, statisticians have said the chart is useless. Relied on the theories of Evans...

@RichardHor54460 @PatChanse1 @LucyLetbyTrials @TomEvans80 incubators: to keep them WARM, prem babies hv minimal insulating fat layer. Many were OFF oxygen in the days before, having cuddles with parents, predicting to go home the following day. Lines: underdeveloped GI tracts need fluids + nutrition, also useful for blood tests

@SusiHarris @PatChanse1 @LucyLetbyTrials @TomEvans80 Is that why the babies were in incubators, most on oxygen or CPAP, various invasive lines going into their body and on 24/7 monitoring? Stable babies do not need any of this medical intervention. The jury were misled as to the health condition of these neonates.

can't seem to reply to you directly @RichardHor54460 you are right, only prosecution has been read out so far, but defence coming soon I gather. LL was a highly qualified nurse sufficiently skilled to monitor the well-being of babies when doctors are busy doing clinics etc
Richard Horrocks@RichardHor54460

@SusiHarris @LucyLetbyTrials @TomEvans80 The transcripts of the prosecution cross examination are read. Which gives you one side of the story. Also Lucy Letby is not a Dr so it doesn't matter if she agreed or disagreed she's not qualified to do either

@SusiHarris @LucyLetbyTrials @TomEvans80 Hughes is an idiot, who will be reduced down the ranks if he's lucky. More likely will be dismissed for gross dereliction of duty, with loss of pension...and rightly so.

@SusiHarris @LucyLetbyTrials @TomEvans80 Spoken like a real doctor (they always stick together don't they). Truth is the victim. Sorry, but you'll now have to do a lot better than be a doctor to be credible. You'll have to overcome the legacy of cretins like Jayaram and Brearey.
