Before we take up wild land with solar panels, we should put them on schools, homes, apartments, hospitals, libraries, parking lots, and grocery stores. Let the people produce their power.

Can someone explain to me like I’m 5 why we don’t just make paper/toilet paper/wipes etc out of bamboo in order to tackle deforestation? It grows so fast almost constantly and easy to plant

@kirkrhoads The kindest thing we can do is to not overexploit it... While nature has a mind of its own, being left alone can be deadly to it as we are not the only invasive species on the planet, but unlike other invasive species, we have reasoning

ATIKU ABUBAKAR and Rotimi Amaechi are RECYCLED old politicians with ZERO value to Nigerians. They have made ADC the retirement home of all political ‘has beans’ who feel disgruntled its not yet their time to rule. We need better, Nigerians deserve BETTER!

@DiceOfTruth @Obeyamark Inasmuch as poverty is a factor, that is not the case here. It's like a cultural thing for us. That is why politicians who are rich and well to do were still hoarding CACOVID noddles.

Would attempt to steal any of the panels, they know they can easily be tracked and arrested. But who's going to do that in Nigeria when half the population has no identity?

When a country lacks enforcement, that's what you get. And before anyone comes at me with the "who's enforcing it in Switzerland that they're not stealing it" I'd like you to know they have CCTVs and a proper digital record of their citizens, and if any of them would attempt
M. O.@Obeyamark

In Nigeria, they'd steal the panels before 12 midnight that very day of installation and we'll all have a good laugh about how careless it was to put them there in the first place.

@earthcurated They also filled the sky in Africa. I remember how we would go about catching this to play with. Now I can barely see any around. And all these is majorly caused by modern urbanization destroying their habitat

In the 1980s, monarch butterflies filled the skies of North America in numbers so vast they could dim the sun. Over a billion strong, their migration was one of the greatest wildlife spectacles on Earth orange and black wings carrying them thousands of miles from Canada to Mexico. And then, slowly, they disappeared. Pesticides wiped out the milkweed they depend on. Roads and development fractured their ancient routes. Climate change disrupted the timing they had followed for millions of years. Quietly, almost invisibly, this natural wonder collapsed. Today, some populations have declined by 99.9%. Billions have become thousands. The skies that once burned orange in autumn now fall mostly empty. The monarch didn’t vanish because it was weak. It vanished because we weren’t paying attention. And that’s the hardest part not that it happened, but that it happened while we were distracted. Protect what takes your breath away, before it exists only in photographs.

Pigs and other animals don’t have a choice right now. But consumers do. So please look for a vegan option the next time you shop. You can Be The Change and make the world a kinder, more compassionate place one meal at a time.

@01percentman What's funny about this whole "we're taking more from the planet" is that we don't even make use of more than half of what we take from the planet, and in the long run, they turn to waste, which also pollutes the planet. So we're taking, and returning it back as hazards.

Look, biodiversity is collapsing right in front of our eyes. We’re taking more from the planet than it can ever replace. We’re tearing down forests and choking the oceans with waste that has nowhere to go. We’ve pushed the planet beyond its limits, and our numbers keep rising faster than the balance can sustain. “Oh no, bro, we’re not overpopulated. There’s enough to go around, it’s just a greedy government.” The government? There will be consequences for growth left unchecked. The planet will push back, and it will be endless calamities like nothing we’ve ever seen before. “Bro, stop promoting a Bill Gates agenda.” A sheep, who has never bothered to look at the data!

@latestincosmos So it’s organizing the mess, not directly removing it. It’s useful, but not a full solution. Still, moringa pulls weight, from water purification to nutrition and oil production.

@latestincosmos The Moringa oleifera doesn’t filter microplastics like a sieve. Its seeds release proteins that bind particles together through Coagulation and flocculation, making them clump and settle so they can be removed.
