The fact that grown adults find this to be not just acceptable but laudatory is extremely sick and its the sign of a culture in deep decline.

I dont understand the Domi hate. Guy is making 3.5 a year, always first to defend his teammates or drop the gloves to change a game. Gets you 30+ a season closer to 50 in a bigger role and is the exact guy you want on your team.

this insanely extraordinary 19 year old walked into the Olympics and swept everyone away with his performance. no matter the end result, what he has achieved individually is beyond anything imaginable

A big shoutout to Cassie Campbell-Pascall and Cheryl Pounder today. Impressive to cover both the men’s and women’s tournaments through the entire Olympics. Pounder jumping between desk analyst and color commentary as well. One of the best in the game right now.

Cuthbert, away from Simpson, is great. His cheering while calling the MacKinnon goal was special.

Tony Blair and his institute have basically become lobbyists for Trump. It’s a pathetic downfall for a former PM to spend his time legitimizing a fascist version of the UN. Shilling for Trump is almost as damaging to democracy as lobbying for any other foreign autocrat

@tsnjamesduthie⁩ oddly putting ⁦@WayneGretzky⁩ through a bizarre struggle session/loyalty test. 99 would have been right to walk out but instead handled the ambush with class. It was supposed to be an appearance about a hockey game but CBC tried to make it political

Wayne Gretzky on CBC: “I’m a hockey player. I’m a Canadian, a true Canadian. I want Canada 🇨🇦 to win a gold medal. I’ve never wavered from that. I’ve been friends with prime minsters and presidents. Somehow there’s been a little bit more tension than normal. At the end of the day, Canada and the US are like brothers and sisters, they’re gonna fight and argue but eventually they’ll come together. That’s the way I see it.”

Anyone accusing Marc Kennedy of being any thing other than world class and one of the best ambassadors for the sport can do exactly what he said. Fuck off. 1000’s of people seeing their first curling clip ever are now experts 😹 3-0 🇨🇦

@mike_p_johnson @tim_micallef What evidence do you have to back that up Mike? I watch you call World Championships every year while I’m watching NHL. Big ice surface more entertaining especially with passing and les turnovers and none of this ‘good sticks boy’ and cycling crap

@tim_micallef You’d think so but history has shown that bigger ice game is slower, more passive and defensive. I think you’d be disappointed.

Am I the only one that thinks...the size of rinks can no longer contain the speed and skill on the ice? And I'm not talking about..the extra 3 feet (though it would help) I'm saying these guys are so big, so fast, so good...especially at this level - that the rinks limit their skill. I would love to see this group fly on the old school big Olympic ice.

The 2026 Winter Olympics men’s hockey tourney gets an asterisk with Russia’s absence. @ethan_sears and I teamed up to write about it, with quotes from NHLPA executive director Marty Walsh, Gary Bettman and Artemi Panarin ⬇️ bit.ly/4adZzfS via @nypostsports

This is Oleksandr Koloniuk. Before invasion, he was one of the rising hockey players. He died in 2023 defending 🇺🇦, aged only 19. He is one of many athletes who could've made it to Milan if 🇷🇺 didn't kill them. But @TheAthletic doesn't ask no one what a 🇺🇦 team would look like

With ⁦@domluszczyszyn⁩ for ⁦@TheAthletic⁩, what would a Russia men’s hockey team look like had they been in Milan? We asked HHOFer Igor Larionov to pick what that roster could have looked like ⤵️ nytimes.com/athletic/70164…
