Congratulations to our amazing kitchen team, who have achieved a five-star food hygiene rating in our most recent inspection. This reflects their hard work and dedication. In addition, with the exciting changes ahead as part of our ‘Fuelling Students for Success’ campaign, we look forward to bringing a more vibrant and flavoursome approach to our catering provision.

We’re really looking forward to the next instalment of our World Sport Week! This is a fantastic opportunity for students to try something completely new, helping to ensure that everyone leaves SCA having discovered a passion for physical activity. Next week, we’re heading to New Zealand to experience Tapu Ae — we can’t wait to get started!

🏀 Last Thursday, our Year 9 boys basketball team put in a fantastic effort in their match against Serlby Park. Although the result didn’t go our way, the boys played with great spirit, teamwork, and determination throughout the game. Most importantly, they had a great time and represented us brilliantly. Well done, boys – we’re proud of you! 👏

🏐 We’re 4th in the COUNTY!!! 🏐 A huge well done to our incredible Year 10 Netball Team! After winning the district competition two years in a row, the girls stepped up to the challenge and entered the county competition this year. Following some exceptional performances in the preliminary rounds, they secured their place on Finals Night. The standard was extremely high, but the team represented us brilliantly and did us all so proud. Congratulations to West Bridgford, who took the overall win on the night. Their teacher even commented that they felt we were the strongest team they faced throughout the competition — what fantastic praise! 👏 In the words of Mrs Dymond: "It's the first time in 32 years of teaching at SCA that I have ever seen a netball team get this far!" What an incredible achievement. We’re so proud of you all! 🌟

Bake Off Success supporting great causes Yesterday, a number of our students took part in a Bake Off event supporting ATTFE and The Fire Fighters Charity. Students from several year groups created fantastic cakes inspired by a firefighter theme, showing great creativity and effort. Our Duke of Edinburgh students from both Bronze and Silver awards also played an important role, helping to welcome members of the public, assisting with moving cakes for judging, and of course enjoying some well-earned cake at the end! 🍰 The competition was incredibly strong and the judges had a very difficult job choosing a winner. A huge congratulations to Evie R in Year 8, who won the Secondary category! Thank you to all of our students who supported and took part in this wonderful event.
