@Ronanchamberss TBF the FT is busy nailing exclusives on Epstein day after day.
Good interview by Jim Pickard on R4 y’day talking about their large team & how they designed bespoke search engine to trawl 3m papers … & how it’s destroyed their weekend!
English

@MarkUrban01 @AiSimonThompson As a surveyor, I acted in the sale of this bespoke (ex-Linde) heavy vehicle factory to GD in 2015.
I make no comment about Ajax but can’t overstate how important the hundreds of jobs are for the town of Merthyr Tydfil.
A similar MOD story playing out with Leonardo in Yeovil.

@AiSimonThompson The hulls came from Spain - but that’s just a shell and they’ve all been delivered now. Engines from Germany. The turrets are made at Ampthill in Bedfordshire. They are assembling 13,000 parts for each Ajax in that plant

@ceritheviking Agree with all your points … but look at the negativity regarding Cardiff Parkway from certain MSs 🙄

This is what the south wales metro should have. / should be doing.
And the burns stations.
And any existing stations.
And new station plans should be with this in mind
These are open policy goals. They aren’t radical. It’s the model elsewhere.
Frustrating!!

RIP architect Terry Farrell of Vauxhall Cross fame … and many other fine buildings.
Chris Sutton@SuttonCardiff
David Goldstone, who died last week, did much to change the skyline of London through his company Regalian. @PropertyWeek @EstatesGazette One of Regalian’s last projects was this office at Vauxhall Cross, on the Thames... home to MI6 and star of many a Bond film 1/
English

@PilkingtonLisa1 Swansea-born David Goldstone (d.2020) of Regalian was Terry’s developer client. David told me that, upon completion, he requested a reception with his team in the MI6 building. ‘No sir, you will never set foot again in this building’ was the terse response. And he never did.
