Elementary school is full of these little useless humiliation rituals. The goal is literally to “break” children like they do in the army—if you ask teachers why these rituals exist, they say it's to teach discipline or obedience.

@marcthiessen Destroying a bridge, in itself, does not equal war crime (as you probably know). Russia also attacked the Zatoka bridge. Details here matter such as whether a bridge is civilian infrastructure, etc.
